3.75 stars if I could... This simple no frills restaurant in Ravenswood offers traditional Bosnian food... stand outs include cevapi and the always changing daily special (that day it was stuffed peppers).
Recommended if you're in the area... prices are also extremely affordable and a great value considering the quality of the food.
Disclaimer: We didn't even sit down. Didn't try the food.
Non-smoker? There are two rooms, but I'd be impressed if you could tell me where the 'non smoking area' was. The fans weren't running; we reeked after being in there for two minutes.
Got plastic? They don't take credit cards.
Okay, assuming you're a smoker who carries cash... we looked over the menus and I've heard that some of the dishes here are pretty good. But there's one thing that will probably keep me from going back.
I'm all about places that advertise 'ethnic' cuisines. Thai, Chinese, Cuban, Korean, Mexican, etc. And it's nice to be able to find a local place where people speak your language, come from the same part of the world as you, and who you share some interests (political, etc) with.
But this restaraunt's 'Bosnian' flavor stared us down as soon as we walked in the door, and until we left. Definitely not a warm welcome feeling.
