Giordano's

Not bad at all for a "call in for pickup/take out" joint in a tiny strip mall for these two particular items: (1) The Harvest Salad is not bad at all (!!!) and (2) the STUFFED spinach pizza is sublime. I've no idea what the small dine-in experience is like (though I do know no liquor is served & it sure as hell isn't BYOB)...

Personally, Giordano's is overrated for deep dish pizza; there are much better alternatives available.  Based on the given circumstance that night, we had to come here instead so one of our family members could experience her first deep dish pizza (sorry sis that it was Giordanos!).  This is a very small location and you're better off parking in the street because their parking lot is minuscule.

The initial and biggest turn off was a sign posted outside their doors stating that they don't sell alcohol.  Who doesn't enjoy a nice cold beer with their pizza?!  About 4 minutes after standing in front and being ignored after saying "Good Evening" to the hostess, we were finally, poorly, and rudely recognized by a large grumpy man that placed our party of 7 in an awkward location.  I was hitting the roof to the extent I was considering taking my family elsewhere, but I was told to let it go for now.  Once our server came by, she was much more attentive and helped us move to another, better fitting table.  Unfortunately, she could barely keep our soft drinks (I still can't believe - no booze) going, even when we tried to minimize her trips; seems like was new at this or overwhelmed with something else.

In the end, it still Giordano's that doesn't sell alcohol with poor customer service; don't see myself coming back unless there's an really damn good reason.

My friend had a hankering for some Chicago style thick and stuffed pizza, so we visited Giordano's fairly late one evening. This location anchors a strip mall on Montrose near Damen. I was surprised that this location did not serve alcohol, oh well. We ordered a stuffed special and knew it would take a few minutes to come out. It is thick and heavy and cheesy, and we still had leftovers to take away since we were both "stuffed" after eating the yummy pizza.
