Cajun Grill & Bar

my wife and i were travelling from CA to FL and stopped in New Orleans to attend the KBIZ Trade Show. We stayed at the Extended Stay in Meterie and stumbled upon Cajun Grill & Bar just next door. At first it looked like just a hole in the wall but it turned out to be the best cajun food i've ever had in New Orleans!!!! Their Boiled Crawfish were the Best...very inexpensive too and Lyn, the owner and cook was a fantastic hostess as well....We highly recommend eating here!!!!

I tried this place after buying a groupon..the food was not great, I had the wings and my husband had the new Orleans sampler and we expected a lot more taste w
ise..the staff was helpful, but the wings needed seasoning, they were bland wingettes, the beans were pastey, the shrimp creole was weak at best, the gumbo was pretty good, the catfish was horrendous. Definitely not worth the visit..

Was Ok for the rather low price but nothing to write home about. One of the meals was lukewarm while the other was fine; meal's visual  presentation was average  and taste was ok but I'm known to eat anything so your mileage may vary. Service  was nice, polite and prompt. but most likely wont be going there again anytime soon.
