The California Clipper

It's1938 again as you walk in....awesome neon backed bar,beautiful woodwork and great bands....cool staff and a great art deco vibe makes this one of the finest places in town....martinis and specialty drinks or shots and a beer,it's all good....not fancy by any means but still totally classy...love it!

Love it!  Delicious drinks (the California Egg Cream was awesome..sooo good with the soda water!), and a nice vibe.  Got there around 8.30 and it was empty, but started to fill up by 11 or so.  Played Jenga..had a blast!

I'm in the area a fair amount. Love this bar. Love the cocktails. Love the music.

It gets kind of loud and as it gets later there's not a ton of seating but hey, if you want to sit down and have a conversation, go to a restaurant or an aquarium or something.

Would give it 5 stars but there's been a time or two when the line has been out the door for a good amount of time. It's a neighborhood spot so on those nights, I'll pass.
