Taco El Jalusciense

A little tiny hole in the wall but the steak burrito was top notch.  The staff was friendly.  Overall I'm very happy with this place.

We also saw the restaurant on the "Chicago's Best" tv show.  The people there were real sweethearts and the food was fresh (guac made to order, the pineapple al pastor is fun),  if pretty bland and not a special bargain.  if you're in the area with a taste for tacos, it's ok, but sorry, I don't think we will be traveling all the way across the city again for this very standard fare.

Went with my friend who saw a Chicago tv show about this place having the best al pastor taco.  Both were disappointed but as unexpected.  The food was mediocre.  Tacos ($2 ea) didn't have enough filling and flavor bland (and I'm not even into spicy!).  I've also had better horchata elsewhere.  Our taco dinner (3 tacos for $9.95) was also missing the salad (so it's really better to get items a la carte).  I saw them heat up our side of rice in their microwave.  We didn't see the big skewer of meat spinning at the grill.   This place is small with maybe 5 small tables in all with very cute tabletops and wall decor.  Definitely would not go out of my way for this.  So far, there hasn't been an al pastor taco that is better than Atotonilco #2.
