I've only tried the pizza and it's delicious.  The crust is a bit thin though, causing the slice to wilt in your hand.  It's tasty enough to overlook this.

I can't believe they don't have more customers. It's a good solid dining experience. The garlic bread is a standout when dining at Capri. It's included with your meal. The dinners  include a salad. Get the house dressing, it's homemade and very good. I've eaten the pizza, good, not great. The crust is a little too thick for me. The eggplant and chicken parmigiana aren't bad, beware of  the sauce it is sweet. I went back and it's still sweet. Some people don't like sweet sauces, so buyer beware. The francese dishes are good.

The servers are attentive and aim to please. It's an overall pleasant experience. Overall, it's a nice night out.

This is by far the best restaurant in the area. They have good prices (but can be somewhat expensive if you are to order an entire meal and not just one or two things) for the  very generous ...huge portions. the food is all amazing. they are willing to change and substitute orders and even cook up something not exactly on the menu given they have the items available. Always have great friendly and attentive ataff.  most of their meals can not compare to any other restaurant.... i love trying different things and know that it will always be good no mater what it is. The chicken parm and ggplant parm are the best i ever had, no matter where i go or have gone before no other has compared. good pizza deals and sandwitches as well as the dinner and main dishes. apps are great too my fav is the roasted peppers and cheese, and calamaru although sometimes it can be a little hard probably because of cook time and size difference and that they are frozen.   All in all amazing restaurant, i have been coming here since i was little and it has never failed me. :)

I give their FOOD 4 stars. Consistently very good.

    SERVICE - 5 stars...attentive, pleasant, helpful.

    CLEANLINESS - 2 stars. :(
Everything needs a once-over.  (Cheese/red pepper shakers on tables are grimy. Scuff marks on walls make it dingy. Bathrooms need a good cleaning/maybe a fresh coat of paint).

It's great that there's parking across the street.

Not sure if they do mostly catering vs sit-down restaurant service. It's not usually busy -- considering how yummy the menu is.

If they'd scrub it up a bit -- it'd be a more welcoming spot.

Clean restaurant  decent serving sizes and service is good. There is parking across the street on the side street.
I had the Calamari and Shrimp Salad for lunch on one occasion and Eggplant Parm for dinner on anther day - both very good.

My absolute favorite Italian Restaurant in the Hudson Valley! I have since relocated to Las Vegas, NV and this place is always on my list of places to eat at when I am back in the HV. Definitely miss being 15 minutes away from this place and their eggplant parm!

Don't ask me how this place is good. An Italian restaurant in Newburgh, on Broadway no less? Good thing I don't ask questions, I just eat. I just to live and New Windsor, and my family got takeout from here all the time although we never ate in. I went here with very low expectations the first time and they've consistently given a decent meal. They do many small things right here that some of the best restaurants consistently get wrong.

The place isn't much to look at, but the service is great. On all visits, we weren't rushed, brought out the food promptly, and the servers were very nice people. They get their bread from Torino bakery next store I believe, so that's pretty good. They also give garlic bread for free, which was a big plus for us as my little brother loves that. To boot, the garlic bread was better than most of the places where you end up paying for it. The salad I got with my meal was great. Their house dressing is a lemon-garlic vinaigrette, and they actually make a nice salad with different types of lettuce and other stuff. Again, they do little things right which add up.

For my mains, the first time I got a dish that had fried shrimp in a combo tomato-marsala sauce which was way too sweet, even though the shrimp were decent (not good, decent). I got penne in garlic and oil with this, which came out al dente as request and was pretty good. The second time, I got a special which was ricotta ravioli in a vodka sauce with shrimp. This dish wasn't anything gourmet, and it didn't need to be. It was very enjoyable and a good portion without being ridiculous. The last time I got a special with grilled shrimp, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and fresh mozzarella. This was good but prepared in an odd way as the shrimp were stuck through slice of tomato. Ehhh whatever it was still decent. Last few times I got the chicken francese and it tasted great...go figure.

Overall my entire family consistently enjoyed their meals here, which is as rare as Haley's comet. For dessert I didn't care for the cannoli here because their shell isn't good, but their regular cheesecake was ok. Wanna hear something sick though? The espresso here is one of the best I've had by far since I came back from Italy, and comparable to what you get over there. No kidding around either. The owner sits in the back and makes it himself--he doesn't mess around. Great espresso is as much a matter of timing and making sure the machine is clean as it is about the quality of the beans, so add that to list of great things about this place. These people may not be Tarry Lodge or Cena 2000 in terms of being gourmet, but they do care about what they're doing and it shows. I appreciate that over cooking technique any day.
