I RARELY give out five stars, but considering I am a regular, they must be doing something right! Many of my friends and associates come to "The Casz," as we all call it. There is a diverse crowd each and every day, ranging from young professionals to bikers, to construction workers, to the occasional housewife needing a night out! Of course they have My TouchTunes, which is able to be controlled on your smart phone! The drink prices are respectable, and the staff is AWESOME! Free pool on Sunday and Monday, and they even cook-out on Sunday for the Bears game...(unless it's on a Monday!) I am starting to try out other places, and I can tell you that nothing compares! The other day I walked up to some new faces (I'm not there everyday, btw!) and now they are becoming regulars! GREAT PLACE!
Review Source:I don't know how I just discovered this place, but I'm glad it didn't take me any longer. I live about two blocks from the Casual Tap, but I've never stopped in before. I usually don't make it past the Six Penny. While that place can be fun, I wasn't in the mood for an Irish bar-fight, so I booked it.
The Casual Tap has absolutely everything I was looking for- free pool, an excellent juke box, Maker's Mark, cheap drinks, cold beer, friendly regulars and a bartender with some personality. Within minutes of walking in my friend and I felt like regulars. The few people in the place were all chatting with each other, shooting pool, playing some video game bowling, whatever. After a round or two the bartender, Chris, was buying us shots. Hell of a guy.
There wasn't a single bad thing about my experience at this place. It's the perfect spot for a night of low key relaxing, and I will be back.
EDIT: I am now the proud owner of the top individual game score on their Silver Strike Bowling game. 256. Eat it.
