I frequent many of their locations (all of which have different names) latelty this place which is closest to our house has just fallen below par. When we came in we walked up to the counter and the girl on the other side kept looking down, never even greated us. Behind her were two cooks not cooking, they were chatting instead. The girl at the counter not looking up was super involved making fancy ice cream with a lot of toppings. About two minutes later she eventually looked up at us and asked for our order. I love their salad dressing but the restaurant filthy. I saw hand prints all over the doors, I saw smudges on the tiles where the customers stand against the counter. I saw almost all tables were dirty. I saw dirty windows. I think the cooks could be trained to take orders when the girl is busy makin ice cream vs. just standing there chatting with each other. At a minimum the cooks could come out and clean. The customers number one theory is "if the front is dirty the kitchen is probably worse" keep that in mind. I also think they would be more successful by using the same name at all locations especially because most of the time they have a pretty good end product in regards to flavor and portions. I leaned they were owned by the same people because the menus at the different locations were printed the same. However, when I visited Edens East their salad dressing was obviously mixed by someone that doesnt use italian/greak dressings, it was all oil. The last time though my girlfriends chicken quarter dinner was rediculously small in size as if it was a baby chicken and it was completely hard and dry like it was heated 20 times. I will give the place one last shot because I love the house salad dressing that much, if things haven't improved we wont be back! I was former manager of the year for Hilton Hotels, I know good service when I see it or a lack thereof. I would be happy to take on a consultant role and provide much more feedback and well needed direction. All they have to do is contact me.

Do not step into Scoops. I am serious. Don't. Not only is the place filthy, but in the neighborhood news, it was said that they almost failed a health inspection on  May 25, 2012. They received only a citation. This place makes you want Toot's back - desperately. Scoops isn't the best of anything, really. . . So just hold in your hunger a bit longer and head over toward another restaurant in the neighborhood that actually tastes good.
There isn't much I can really say about this place.

Most of the bad reviews are from people who are biased because of their love of Toots. It's not Scoops's fault. They have great food (the chicken kebab plate being my favorite) at a good price, and their customer service isn't bad. They're friendly and nice. The outdoor seating is great for the summer. Yes, there is a bit of a wait, but it's worth it for the quality food you get.
