I've been here several times and never been disappointed.  This family run restaurant is  also half an Indian jewelry/clothing store.  The paneer wrap is delicious and comes with a very enjoyable cilantro sauce.  They have Indian style pizzas, though I've never given one a try.  The interior is nothing to brag about, but if you are looking for a unique and delicious place for Indian food, this is it.  Just remember to bring cash if you are dining alone.  They don't take credit cards for orders less than $10.
Review Source:This place had the most bland Indian food I've ever had, and I'm  an Indian. We ordered the Dahi puri which had no flavor except the strong yogurt.  We ordered a pizza as they described it to be "Indian Style". This was the worst pizza I've ever had in my life of 40yrs. The sauce was actually spaghetti sauce and took forever to come out. It seemed the only people in the restaurant were family members of the owners.  Don't waste your money here...can get better Indian food anywhere else but here.
Review Source:Landed up here quite by chance, almost due to a wrong turn into a strip mall, and being too tired to turn around and head to the place we were actually looking for. I was very impressed with how fresh the food was, how much variety they offered, and how quickly they were able to serve. Their pav bhaji was the best item, but chhole bhature followed closely. Their thali and chaats were also very good. I agree with other reviewers that it is more expensive than similar style places..
Review Source:I have been here twice in a few days and have been pretty satisfied with everything.
I do not know alot about vegetarian Indian food, but I can definitely say I liked what I've eaten here.
The first time I stopped in, I had the $4.99 special which was a vegetarian sandwich with a bag of chips and can of soda.
The veggie sandwich was on warmed crusty bun with cheese, potatoes, onions, sweet sauce, and green spicy sauce as well. I'd never had one, but would definitely order it again.
The next time I came in with my wife and we split the Behl which was tasty (I call it Indian nachos), the veggie Thali, and some gulab jamun for dessert. Filling and delicious. A nice welcome to the regular fast food lunch or overfilling Indian buffets.
The man working behind the counter was very helpful in explaining what each dish was when I had a question, and service was pretty quick (food was ready within 5 or so minutes).
After doing a nice 10am yoga class, I headed back home but stopped here for lunch. An order of Bataka Vadas, paneer tikka and falafal tikka wrap and a coconut drink for under $16. Not shabby at all. My husband and I split the meal and now for a nap. I love having Indian food in a reasonable portion, great spicy taste and without the waste of doing a full-on buffet. Chataka Masti is a great vegetarian fast food stop for light meals and snacks. I'll be back for sure!
Review Source:Chataka Masti... ehh. I won't be back. This place does 'indian fast food' so they have chaat and samosas and what-not. I had a masala dosa & a samosa; the potato filling  for my dosa... um, it tasted a little like greasy hash browns. The samosa filling had nice fluffy potatoes but was not very flavorful. Service is ok and pretty quick, actually, but the food is sadly not as spicy and flavorful as I would like!
Review Source:I saw that Chataka Masti got a one-star review, but I went anyway, and I'm glad I did. Â Keep in mind, of course, that I am a white girl, and not in any way an authority on how Indian food should taste. Â Still, I found this place A-OK!
If you're looking for a hearty entree, you won't find it here. Â Chataka Masti specializes in chaats and fried savory pastries. Â On my visit, I ordered takeout: an order of samosas and a masala dosa. Â I loved the crust on the samosas - golden brown, crispy, and even a little flaky - but I didn't care for the filling as much. Â I'm not sure what it was...maybe a little bland? Â Too mushy? Â I'll try something else next time.
The masala dosa, on the other hand, was very good, and filling. Â Unlike the previous reviewer, I had no problem with the sambar (except that it was super-spicy and I'm a wimp). Â I would gladly get this again.
The restaurant is surprisingly large, and there's even an upstairs eating area! Â I would recommend Chataka Masti as an alternative to traditional American fast food; it's a nice change of pace from McDonald's or Burger King, it's relatively quick, comparably priced, and independently owned.
