Steak 'N Shake

I have been looking for a restraunt that was open for an early morning 2am breakfast when I stumbled upon Steak and Shake. I normally have their patty melt sandwich, it's one of the best sandwiches that I have had, when I noticed that they were open 24hrs and they served breakfast in the early mornings.
They make their breakfast meals on their grill as they are ordered.Their pancakes were real fluffy and their hash browns were made just right.
The only thing I was disappointed in was their service. I dont think they had enough waitstaff. Although the servers were very busy they still made sure my coffee cup was full. My wife and I were well fed for about $10.00.
I will definitely go to Steak and Shake than White Castle, or Denny's for early morning breakfast.
I only go to White Castle when I am plowed.

great place. the burgers are awesome.  i also love the shakes.  my favorite one is the Strawberry shake.

An ok burger for $4.99 (with fries).  I tried the Royale burger - with bacon and a fried egg.  It was good, but on the smaller side for the price point.  I also had a bit of their tangy Frisco sauce added (thousand island like).  The fries were skinny and had a bit of aftertaste (like re-used vegetable oil) - not nearly as good as McDonald's.   Not bad, but not exceptional either.
