Colletti's Dining & Banquets

It's Friday night. We ordered drinks. My husband spied the "fisherman's platter." It was around $18. Shrimp, cod, some other 'fish.' We both asked the waitress, Angelina, is this a big portion? He's starving. Is it a good amount of food? She lied. Flat out lied: "oh yes, it's large. And it comes with a a large bowl of cole slaw." No soup or salad? "No--but it's big."

It was about as big as an appetizer plate. Full of over-fried, leathery fish with miniature gumball sized pieces of shrimp that we about as chewy as rawhide. No cole slaw. "Oh yeah, let me get it." The 'bowl' of coleslaw was a sloppy mess my dog wouldn't eat. And it was no bigger than a large spoon full.

We asked Angelina, is this the seafood platter? It's so small. We asked if it was a good size. What is this?

You never asked if it was big. I never said you'd get a bowl of coleslaw. You can get another if you want but that's the platter.

Angelina disappeared after that. No other communication other than the check. What a terrible, terrible response to a paying customer. Rude treatment, disappointing food and we will NEVER be back. Save your money: go to Gale Street Inn, Graziano's or Suparosa. All nearby and much BETTER food, service and you won't be lied to or made to feel like it's your fault the dinner experience stunk.

I just went to Coletti's for dinner, for the first time in about 10 years. We were seated in the bar area, which didn't exactly have the decor to match the menu prices, but eh, ambiance isn't everything I guess.

The bread was fantastic and our waitress was very friendly. The salads and soups we had were delicious and fresh tasting but I found my egg plant parm to be pretty bland. The noodles served on the side had almost no flavor, so I wouldn't get that dish again. Everything else looked good and the other 4 people in my party enjoyed their dinners. I guess egg plant parm just isn't their thing.

I'd definitely go back to try a different dish, but I'm in no hurry.

I have ordered for delivery and always been satisfied with the food.  I especially love the chopped salad,  But had a very bad experience recently when I dined in with my husband. I ordered something on the special menu, it was a while ago, so I don't quite remember what they called it, but it was beef served with mushrooms and a type of gravy, served with a veggie (cold and soggy by the way) l asked for my meat to be done MR it came sooooooooooo well done---which I can deal with, and l was hungry, so I ate it, and never complained!  But the worse thing was----was that it was tough as shoe leather!  After the fact---I wished I would've complained because it was a really bad meal-------not to mention the veggies served were cold and soggy!  Whoops! Did I say that already???
