Tonight Congress lost a customer. Â We ordered a stuff pizza and fries. Â We received a thin pizza and ice cold fries. Â Not to mention that the delivery driver didn't come through the yard as requested, instead he called from the car. Â
I called to double check on the order and the woman on the phone was beyond rude and obviously had never heard the saying the customer is always right. Â It is honestly just easy to be done doing business with them. Â No customer should ever be spoke to the way I was on the phone.
Disgusting customer service! Â With all the pizza places to choose from you would think they'd try to friendly to a long time customer! Â Which is now an ex-customer! Â Maybe if they paid their employees like a legit business instead of cash at half the minimum rate they would have a employee who care!!
Review Source:I ordered 3 orders of Veal Parmigiana on Sunday, and it was bad!!! Â Not enough sauce, or flavor, Â the spaghetti didn't have enough sauce either, it was dry and bland. Â The salad looked like it had been sitting in the fridge for a few days, and it maily consisted on lettuce with one slice of cucumber, no croutons. Â The bread tasted old. Â I called to complain and the manager didn't seem to care. He claimed that he made it and that it was good. Â I'm never orering from there again. Â What a waste of money!!!!
Review Source:This place can't be for real. Â What ever I received, could not be called pizza. Â I love super thin pizza, but this was a thin crust with no sauce or cheese. Â I ordered it the day before to serve for a party and it still came an hour late. Â How this place can make it in Chicago is beyond me.
Review Source:Went here on a sudden whim with some friends when we were hungry on Halloween night, and were all trying to agree on somewhere to dine in at that was still open late. I really enjoyed the thin crust pizza here. Might be near the top(in fact, it'd be in my top 2 or 3) when it comes to the quality of the sausage I've seen other pizza places in Chicago serve on their pizza, and the bacon(which was actually supposed to be broccoli, but the kitchen misinterpreted just this topping we requested on ours by mistake) was also excellent. Probably since I'm a 'meatatarian', I easily enjoyed our accidental pizza the most.
Whoever voted that this place doesn't have a full bar is incorrect, there is one here. Dining room and bar overall are a little on the small side, but the tables aren't super cramped near each other, and the tables and floor were very clean, so no complaints there. I think this is the only place that may still have the obscure arcade game Code One Dispatch anymore(played a quick round before leaving). Parking is mostly either on Diversey(free), or on the diagonal spaces on Mason Ave. along the side of the building. Be careful if you're driving here and coming to dine in, there's a red light camera at Diversey and Austin.
If only I lived closer to the Milwaukee Ave. location......
You could say that I first started going to their original location (in Logan Square) before I was born! Â My mom and dad used to know the owners and would eat there all the time. Â I used to joke that I was hooked on pizza and pasta at birth because of places like Congress :) Â Now they have a restaurant on Diversey and Austin and I for one am glad. Â They have great food, the pizza will make you happy, and they offer an Italian lunch buffet for a super low price.
