Copper Creek Cafe is an independent (non-chain!) restaurant that opened in Granger a few months ago. Â The owners also have The Country Table restaurant in White Pigeon.
The restaurant is located in the Granger Commons strip mall, but is warm and inviting when you walk in. Â It's open and nicely (although a bit sparsly) decorated with tables and booths. Â They are open seven days a week from 7-3 serving both breakfast and lunch.
My husband and I were in the area and stopped in for lunch today. Â It was a little early for lunch so there were only a couple other tables seated.
The menu is huge! Â The breakfast offerings include omelettes, fritattas, scramblers, crepes, blintzes, pancakes, waffles and much more! Â The lunch options were equally impressive with a large selection of salads, sandwiches, paninis, wraps and burgers.
My husband opted for a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Â He ordered the burger medium, but it was closer to well done. Â He said it was a little greasy, but overall pretty good. Â The fries were great - unique cut, well cooked and not greasy.
I ordered the Greek chicken wrap with fries (other sides included chips or fruit). Â The wrap was huge and packed with chicken, feta and kalamata olives. Â Most wraps tend to be a little heavy on the lettuce, but this one could actually stand to use a little more lettuce (just my personal preference). Â The chicken could have used a little more seasoning and the Greek dressing was heavy on the oil and needed more vinegar and seasoning.
Our server was friendly and checked in with us several times during the meal. Â The prices are pretty reasonable - $20 for our two lunches.
We look forward to going back to try breakfast.
