Eddie's Steak Shed

My wife and I are new to the Michiana area, so we decided to try this local place on the recommendation from a guy I work with. We arrived on a Friday Night at 7pm and there was a 20 min wait, which is a good sign.  2 draft beers each later, we were seated. The atmosphere here is very pleasant and you feel at home with the wagon wheel decor, old wood, etc. Service here was excellent...very engaging, and fast service. I went with the BBQ ribs which fell off the bone, and my wife got the filet mignon medium rare that was charcoal grilled to perfection. My wife always feels like she is missing out if she doesn't get to eat everything on the menu, but not this time. She could barely move. Great prices, great food, great
service...we'll be back.

Went on Friday night. Had around a 20 minute wait. Ordered the Sirloin steak. Medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and tender. One of the better steaks I have had in restaurants. Baked potato was good as well. Onions and button mushrooms were great. Excellent service. Will be going again. Oh yeah had chicken dumpling soup good flavor not a lot of chicken and the dumpling was as big as the bowl...would order that again too. I think the dumpling sucked up all the chicken stock. Then believe it or not the dumpling winked at me, so I ate it :)

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this place. I thought the 32 oz sirloin for two was a great idea. Although even with someone else I would never be able to finish a steak that size. I had the filet and would give it 3 1/2 stars mainly because of a huge strip of gristle that should not be present in a filet. Other than a being stacked in like sardines, this place was great. Definitely stop in if you are in this area.
