I had to work New Year's Eve and I was there until 5PM.... then as I treked through the pedway to the Blue Line I found out that teh Aon Building had comically locked their doors. I trudged to Dearborn and thought maybe a snack if anyone is still open.
I always feel bad for anyone who has to work when seemingly everyone else has gone home. I stopped in because they were open. I really hated the one that used to be on Lake St in Oak Park!
To make a long story less long, I have never met anyone so upbeat as the young lady  behind the counter! I mean, she made going there a positive experience! I had a Cobb Salad and coffee and she was just so bubbly an cheerful that I actually forgot to feel guilty that I was making her work on New Year's Eve!
I would definatly dine here again! You have no idea what a change taht is after having had so much depressing service at the Oak Park location! She actually changed my mind that this is an unpleasant place to dine.
Give her a raise or something!
You kmow, the food is ok here; Â basicly the same as every other Cosi since it is a chain but this one is way too small for the volume of people that go in and out of there and there. Â If you are getting your food to go, there is only a small area so wait for your food and everyone is always in everyone elses way. Â The prices pretty high in my opinion, but then again, this located in the loop so I guess I should not complain too much. Â
I go there during bad weather because I work right next door so it is a quick place for a dash and grab at lunch time but I try not to be a regular because I hate the crowded waiting area.
A couple of reasons I like eating at Cosi. Â First the name reminds me of the music by Mozart called Cosi Fan Tutti (Everybody is doing it). Â Second the awesome Coke machine that looks like a rocket ship with a touch screen, letting you select pretty much any product variation they make. Â Third is the interior decor, very modern with track lighting, updated finishes, soothing color scheme, curvy couches and other lounge furniture, the open fireplace is easily visible in the kitchen, etc. Â And fourth is the food, which kind of reminds me of Roti and Pompei and Panera all mixed together. Â I know there are a lot of these around town, but we go to this one a lot because of the central convenient location.
