Dada Dallas

I was excited to see great acts booked at Dada, but in my first show there the sound routing was sub par. The artists had a laptop and a mic. The vocals were routing through the stage monitors and not through the house speakers. After addressing this concern with the soundboard guy, he denied that there was a problem, despite the artist wondering through her entire set if the audience could hear her. Soundfail for an otherwise great venue. Once the sound issues are addressed I'd happily give a 5 star.

Great venue!! I never go to concerts or clubs for that matter as Im not a fan of the scene, though I'm a huge music fan. Checked reviews before attending and felt comfortable giving it a shot. As advertised the service of the clubs employees were spot on. Didn't come across any condescending attitudes you usually experience in a club atmosphere. The drink prices where definitely better than I expected. The sound was amazing but at times I thought was a little too much for such a condensed space. Great patio area out back to smoke. There is only one bathroom for men and one for women which most yelp complaints confirmed, but I didn't see an issue for the amount of people there. Especially there was 1 girl to every 5 guys. Then again, guys usually don't care about bathrooms......we just use them. Overall great experience. Can't wait to return.

incredibly hospitable staff.  when you're traveling venue to venue, some venues treat you like guests and some venues seem annoyed that they have to deal with another concert and i could tell the people who worked there really enjoyed their jobs. i asked for one pair of earplugs when i forgot mine while i was there on tour w electric 6 and the bartender/owner gave me a mountain of them. last time i was in dallas with another band across the street, a security guard tried to make me throw my coffee away twice while i was working.  ok so these aren't the best examples of why one venue is way better than the other but that give you an idea.
