The Libertine is a gem of a bar & is one of our favorite places now that indoor smoking is a thing of the past in Dallas. Â Their menu is fantastic & beautifully executed- we've rarely had a miss in all the terrific meals we've enjoyed here (including half price food nights & beer dinners). Â Their Hog Wings are excellent, their Cheese Plate is nicely curated, the Tuna Burger is outstanding & even simple things like tomato soup or a club sandwich shine (the club features honest-to-god roasted turkey breast & ham- NOT lunch meat!) Their tap selection is small, but hell it's a pretty small bar & they're more Classic Cocktail focused anyway which is just all right with me. Â On a recent late night weekday visit we lucked into meeting Carrie who must have been the manager on duty- she had this way about her that was equal parts easy-going, cool chick you'd love to chat up at a bar & hard-working, diligent bartender that always notices when you need a fresh drink yet manages to be always busy cleaning & filling drink orders (without missing a beat conversationally). Â She was charming & seemed to really take ownership of the place. Â It's nice to be in the company of someone who clearly loves their job.
