Stumbled upon this place on a walk. Have driven past for a year and nothing about the exterior seemed enticing. What a difference when you walk through the door. It has a homey, local bar feel with a great selection of drafts. Biggest surprise was the food. In a word...amazing! We had their Meat on Wood (selection of hams with house-made mustard and pickles), chorizo quesso that was incredible, and a Tenderloin Hash that was also fantastic. The Sam Adams beer rep was on site and introduced us to some really good Sam Adams beers. We had a wonderful time, enjoy excellent food and drinks, and relished the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely going back.
Review Source:This place has always been a good spot for a few drinks on a Saturday night. But recently they overhauled their menu. I know they have a new chef and possibly even new ownership. However they are doing it, kudos for the huge upgrades in the food! This is truly the most gourmet bar food I've ever had!! First-run halibut in a cozy little bar for under $20?!?! That's special folks! I would have paid $30-plus for the exact same dish at any snooty uptown bistro. I absolutely love some of the playful little appetizers they've recently created. Just to name a few: mini scotch eggs made with quail eggs and chorizo, loaded baked potato croquettes made from scratch, and the most amazing homemade corn dog bites made with fresh sausage brought in from the best creator of fine sausages in DFW. HELL YES! Is this really a bar?! I'm impressed every time I eat anything here these days. No frozen cheese sticks or wings in this joint! Highly recommended!
