One word YUM!
If you are looking for a super creative menu, Steel probably isn't what you are looking for. Â However, if you want fabulously fresh rolls and a great atmosphere - Steel definitely is.
I came in on Friday night and the restaurant was surprisingly full even though from the exterior it looks rather unsuspecting. Â We were greeted by a decent enough waitress and made were ready to order in no time given that everything looked so delicious.
We started with the crab and mango spring rolls which were incredible. Â All of the ingredients were so fresh and there was a small sprig of mint inside the rolls, making for a pleasant surprise.
Next up - SUSHI! We went with the Hawaiian roll, the Ahi Tower and the OMG roll. Â All were equally delicious and made us wish we had bigger stomachs that could handle more. Â
I have eaten A LOT of sushi in town and its safe to say that this is the freshest and most thoughtfully prepared in town. Â It really isn't that much more expensive than your other sushi spots and even if it was, it is well worth the price. Â Need a better incentive to come in? Â Every week, Monday - Friday they have select rolls for only $4 between 5pm and 7pm
Visited steel at 5:30pm.... Â We were the only three customers in the place... Â They told us we had to sit in the bar area with our five year old if we want to order off the happy hour menu... Â Funny thing is my daughter and I have eaten there five other times, not in the bar, with no trouble... Â FYI steel, the most expensive seat in a restaurant is an empty one. Â I use to be a regular customer, now I'm not a customer at all... Â We went right down the street and spent our money !!!
