@Jebidiah: AMEN!
Ok, so a good friend wanted to meet there yesterday. I was kind of, "ummmm.." but thought I'd give it another shot. In a world full of change, there is comfort in consistency. Actually, they exceeded the lunacy of my previous experience! I was told (get this) that I "have to fill out the form" to place my order. Really? How about I not play waitress and just tell you what I want and then give you the money that I worked all week to earn? While we're on the subject of money, let's talk eleven bucks for a bagel with some veggies lumped on it and a chai. Oh - and the chai came out of a pre-mixed box, the kind that costs around five bucks for thirtysome servings. The big corporate conglomerate Starbucks charges the same or less and they are actually nice to me. Never had one of their baristas tell me what I HAVE to do.
To Dagel and Beli Management: I hope you spent my money wisely because it's the last penny of mine you'll ever see.
To Dagel and Beli Staff: Get over yourselves. I'm not impressed.
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF CRAP SERVICE from moron hipster people who think they are the Greatest People In The Universe. Â The prices here are too high, and the service is a joke. Â Its not Subway, good, I'm glad, that's why I came here in the first place. Â But why does it take so goddamn long for you to make me a coffee? Â And why in the holy hell does it take 20 mins to make me a sandwhich?? If it was crowded I could see how that could happen, but the 3 times I stopped by (which was 3 time too many, over a 2 year period) it was the same everytime. Â I have to move out of Rogers Park, too many moronic hipsters who think their crap doesn't stink. Â Give me a break, losers. Â Learn some efficency and some damn business sense.
