Taste of Perú

I went here for the first time right after work yesterday. I ordered to go so the owner had me sit and wait. He seemed very busy but I wish someone would have attended to me and recommended a few things. I come from a Hispanic background so I knew what more or less was what but wasn't 100% sure. After a few minutes of looking at the menu, I decided to order the Lomo Saltado and the Tamale to go. I think I made the right choice because let me tell you. There is only one word to describe this...that is magnifico! This dish was not only mouthwatering, it was mouthwatering, hehe. I will definitely be going back again. It was a little cramped but then again it was a Friday night so it was rather busy. So that is a good thing. Can't wait to see what is in store next time. I only gave this place 4 stars and not 5 because like I said before it was my first time and I was lost as to what to order.

This place is fantastic! My bf is from Peru and he said the cuisine is very much like home! The owner is very personable, walking around and chatting with guests! He even did a little magic trick while we were dining this one time! Been here about 4 times now and have plans to keep coming back as long as I'm here in Chicago!

Nothing much to say.  It's just not very good.  The food looks better than it tastes.  Nice people though.
