Best burgers I've found anywhere around. Lunch here means no need for dinner later.

I recommend the Geo Burger, the egg ties it together perfectly.

In my quest to review hot dog places, from time to time while I'm on the road I spot places I'd never seen or heard of that have hot dogs. While I was driving down Main Street in Saint Charles I noticed a place with a Vienna Beef hot dog sign in their window and I was quickly turning into the shopping center to try it. DeGeo's is a very small Chicago style restaurant carrying Burgers, Gyro's and hot dogs. The dining area inside is small and clean with a few tables set up inside.

I placed my order and fairly quickly my food was ready. In visiting I decided to go for a hot dog and also sampled the fries here. Service was polite, quick and friendly.

The hot dog I received came on a classic Chicago style poppy seed bun. The bun was soft with no signs of dryness. There were two rather large tomato slices on the hot dog, thick onion and a thick pickle spear. The application of the mustard and relish was fine, I didn't notice any celery salt on this hot dog. The frank on the dog was a skinned natural casing hot dog, it had a nice snap to it and kept the flavor in well.

The fries I received were crinkle cut fries, they were a little greasy and a little salty but had a nice potato paste filling. They weren't exactly crisp on the outside but were overall tasty.

My experience at DeGeo's was positive. The hot dog was well above average, though I wasn't a fan of the thicker than normal pickle or the way the tomato was sliced I'd say this was a good hot dog. The fries were more to my liking than a lot of places (as fresh cut fries seem to be the norm with independent hot dog stands these days) though they aren't the best crinkle cut fries I've come across either. Overall I'd recommend DeGeo's, a good hot dog at a fair price.

We arrived Friday night at 8:40PM with close at 9:00PM. Owner was onsite and never blinked an eye or looked at his watch..and we were eating in less than 5 minutes.

Wife had Gyro Standard (extra Feta). Pita Bread was fresh, meat was steaming, loads of purple onion and She loved it, eating whole thing almost by herself and she usually will not.

I had De Geo Burger (Bleu Cheese, Bacon, Buffalo Sauce, Lett and Tom). Fresh Buns, Patty was excellent quality and well cooked. Hot off the grill, this
is a highlight burger...and I promise you, I have paid twice as much and not received nearly the quality or memory.

We split our favorite Style Fries (Crinkle Cut) and split a single Pop which we refilled twice without Charge (...hello! as it should be in my book! Thank you DeGeos)

Small but clean and well organized. couple of tables out front for nice evenings.. Service excellent. Owner told me he is battling the fact that as some of the previous reviews have noted, he is the 4th owner in 3 years but he said he is getting repeat customers already. I cannot speak to previous renditions of this location, But this owner has kept it simple and runs the restaurant with his family only on staff. Makes for great combination.

My parting shot: For $15 we received an excellent dining experience. Try this Family owned restaurant. I can almost promise that you will not only be happy but likely be back just as we intend too. J and K

The burger was solid, I had the DeBurger which had buffalo sauce on it, unique and tasty.  You will not be dissapointed with this burger.  The fries lacked character.  The food is good and cooked fresh to order.  I will be back to try the gyro and hotdog.  The 3 star review can turn into a 4, but I still think this place is cursed due to the location.

Fantastic!!!  One of the best gyros I've ever had.  I've been there 4 times since they opened and if you haven't stopped by you are missing out.

So, I needed something to eat for lunch that didn't consist of meat due to it being Friday during Lent. I saw they had Lent specials and had to stop by for a pepper & egg sandwich. Now that this has been the 3rd establishment and 5th owner in the last 5 years (Good Luck) I had to at least give them a try and see what it was like to compare to the other places. Food was pretty hot and made fresh and was like your typical hot dog joint. Didn't really seem to be too much different from the previous places on the environment and what they had to offer. I wasn't really impressed but I wasn't really turned off from it either. I have to go back hoping they will still be there when I do.

This is the third establishment to rent this space in 5 years.  If history repeats itself, it won't last long either.  I think it is a function of location as much as it is quality of the establishments that were here prior.  That said...

I had the Ruben.  The corned beef is claimed to be made in house.  I thought it had good flavor.  The bread was toasty and buttery.  The thousand Island dressing that is usually inside a Ruben is served on the side here, but I didn't have a problem with it since they gave me enough.  I will try this place again, but bear in mind, I wasn't blown away.
