Walked into the front door just before 10pm. By the time the doorman checked my ID and gave me my stamp, the clock turned to 10 and the gal behind the counter wanted to charge me the $10 cover. Having been in the bar on other occasions I chose to leave after asking her Really ? Her response was, "it's my job". Well, the drinks are way overpriced and the atmosphere is not worthy of a large university town. Went to Olde Queens and had a great evening !

I wish it was possible to give this club a negative star. It is a small karaoke club at best with no sense of modern class. The drinks are over priced, the cover is uncalled for since the club is essentially a dive bar with a dance floor. I have travled all over the country and visited a myriad of different gay clubs. AND THE DEN is by far the worst. Please save yourself the time and just stay home.

The thing I like about this place is that there is a mixed gay men/lesbian crowd. The thing that I don't like is that there is ALWAYS a lot of lesbian drama there. The music isn't that great, the drink specials are really nice. There are a lot of old people there. College night is okay, but it honestly ends up being really cliquey...

Bartenders are friendly, people are active, crowd ranges from 21-65 on avg..

However, the cover isn't worth the experience.. Go on a Wed night when it's free. it's closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, leaving the gay community with no where local to go. Improve this!

I ventured down to Somerset just to check out this place tonight ( college night).

Pros:
+the friendly crowd.
+$2 beers.
+polite bartenders.
+beautiful gay men.
+dance floor size.
Cons:
-lots of couples.
-lack of dancing.
- the music ( 30 minutes of lady gaga was too much)
- the lesbians are ugly.
