Great drinks, great seafood, superior service and a smartly contemporary atmosphere make this place special. I'm a seafood fan, so I'd be happy if my last meal were shellfish. The quality is high here. What I like most about this place is that it feels like a hidden gem, a private club. It's neither hidden, in the upscale Northbrook Court mall near Neimans, nor private, because it's very popular. But the lighting, colors and service in the place give it a je ne sais quoi.

It's part of the Lettuce Entertain You empire, so they've got the service down. I've tried the Louie Louie salad for lunch and the whole wheat capellini. Both were outstanding. Prices are reasonable too for what you get. It feels so civilized to eat here after shopping at this haute haven.

Hands down the worst l.e.y. restaurant I've been to.
Food sucked. Wait staff sucked, and it stunk like a nursing home.
I came here specifically for the bar special which I clearly and audible relayed to my waiter but he still handed me a regular menu.  Sigh.
Then after a five minute wait for him to come back to take my order he laughed and handed me the 5 dollar bar menu.
I didn't want him to leave so I asked him a few questions about the menu.
Is the fire cracker chicken just the chicken or is it a salad?
His reply, "just the chicken"
I said, "ok, I will have the stuffed burger and my daughter will have the grilled cheese sandwich "
Great. So now we wait for our food.

10 minutes later he brings a chicken salad and says the grilled cheese will be out shortly. Before I could catch him he leaves. Hmm. I am so confused so I think to myself he misunderstood me and I will be having a salad for dinner instead of a burger. I start eating.
He comes back and drops off two plates. A burger platter and a grilled cheese platter. Sigh.....
Ok. Now I have to say something. I explain that I only ordered two meals because there is only two of us.
He gets mad at me and asks me why I started eating the salad if it wasn't what I ordered.

Unbelievable!

Ok, it's safe to say the waitstaff doesn't listen to the customer or care. But let's talk about the food.

The fire cracker chicken is NOT just chicken. It's a full on salad.

The burger looked horrible and I'm glad he took it back.

The bread on the grilled cheese sandwich was so hard I was afraid it was going to break my little girls teeth off and the cheese wasn't even fully melted.

This place truly doesn't care at all. I will be surprised if it makes it through the year.

i place with a very simplified menu and satisfying tastes.  My only problem is that there really was no wow in any aspect of this restaurant other than thinking of it as a place to take clients for regular sunday brunch.
