Great drinks, great seafood, superior service and a smartly contemporary atmosphere make this place special. I'm a seafood fan, so I'd be happy if my last meal were shellfish. The quality is high here. What I like most about this place is that it feels like a hidden gem, a private club. It's neither hidden, in the upscale Northbrook Court mall near Neimans, nor private, because it's very popular. But the lighting, colors and service in the place give it a je ne sais quoi.

It's part of the Lettuce Entertain You empire, so they've got the service down. I've tried the Louie Louie salad for lunch and the whole wheat capellini. Both were outstanding. Prices are reasonable too for what you get. It feels so civilized to eat here after shopping at this haute haven.

Hands down the worst l.e.y. restaurant I've been to.
Food sucked. Wait staff sucked, and it stunk like a nursing home.
I came here specifically for the bar special which I clearly and audible relayed to my waiter but he still handed me a regular menu.  Sigh.
Then after a five minute wait for him to come back to take my order he laughed and handed me the 5 dollar bar menu.
I didn't want him to leave so I asked him a few questions about the menu.
Is the fire cracker chicken just the chicken or is it a salad?
    His reply, "just the chicken"
I said, "ok, I will have the stuffed burger and my daughter will have the grilled cheese sandwich "
Great. So now we wait for our food.

10 minutes later he brings a chicken salad and says the grilled cheese will be out shortly. Before I could catch him he leaves. Hmm. I am so confused so I think to myself he misunderstood me and I will be having a salad for dinner instead of a burger. I start eating.
He comes back and drops off two plates. A burger platter and a grilled cheese platter. Sigh.....
Ok. Now I have to say something. I explain that I only ordered two meals because there is only two of us.
He gets mad at me and asks me why I started eating the salad if it wasn't what I ordered.

    Unbelievable!

Ok, it's safe to say the waitstaff doesn't listen to the customer or care. But let's talk about the food.

The fire cracker chicken is NOT just chicken. It's a full on salad.

The burger looked horrible and I'm glad he took it back.

The bread on the grilled cheese sandwich was so hard I was afraid it was going to break my little girls teeth off and the cheese wasn't even fully melted.

This place truly doesn't care at all. I will be surprised if it makes it through the year.

i place with a very simplified menu and satisfying tastes.  My only problem is that there really was no wow in any aspect of this restaurant other than thinking of it as a place to take clients for regular sunday brunch.

A Lettuce Entertain You restaurant in Northbrook Court, so you know service and quality will be a priority here. The place is fairly small but very nice inside with cozy lighting and large booths as well as tables - although they cram a lot of seating into the space which could be uncomfortable if it was packed.
I have to knock off a star for their lack of tap beer but that's me. We both had their homemade lemonade which was really good and refreshing. Also the rustic bread they serve with a basil infused olive oil was awesome.
I started with a bowl of clam chowder which was excellent. My wife had the chopped salad and an angry lobster roll and both were very good. I had the lobster-shellfish boil in a spicy tomato base. it was good but I don't think I would order it again.
Service was also very good. Overall I think we'll try it again but it didn't knock my socks off.

Perfect lunch... Spicy crunchy tilapia and the green goddess salad hits just the right taste buds! Wish I had room to try the cupcakes that everyone raves about

The food we ordered were perfectly seasoned, fresh, and well balanced. We were impressed with our server's efficiency and congeniality despite the very busy dinner service. We informed her that we were aiming catch a movie and she took the initiative to place our order expeditiously. I am very pleased to find a seafood restaurant of good quality within our neighborhood without making a trip to the downtown area. (11/10/2012)

My Hotel called to see if there was room, they were told that there was room at the bar. I arrived 10 min. later.  I asked the host if I could go into the bar. He was rude and short with me. If that had not happened I would give 4 stars. I ordered two appetizers. The portions were enormous and very well done. The calamari was perfectly cooked. I have had many more plates of rubber bands then calamari in my time. The tuna was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I found the price to be fair. I was pleasantly surprised as this place is in a mall.

My girlfriend and I have met at Di Pescara for lunch to celebrate her Birthday. Restaurant was packed. Good thing we had a reservation. The service was prompt and very good. I meant to ask for special A-list (Alpana Singh suggested vine selection) but our waitress gave it to us right away. The fish entrée (special of the day) with spinach risotto was excellent but a portion size was a little small for me (considering the price). The other entrée - almond crusted whitefish was very good, decent size, maybe a little dry for my taste. Free Birthday trio dessert was a nice touch. I definitely will go there again for dinner.

Love this place.  Creative menu, great service and it is outside the mall so it doesn't feel like you are eating in a mall.  Try the Shrimp Dipescara.

Besides great food they make delicious cupcakes too!
I enjoy eating at the restaurant bar on Monday nights before 6pm for their happy hour menu which is delightful and not too heavy a meal.
Their bar staff is very friendly.
I have also had dinner meetings there from 15 people to 60 people and always the food is good.
I have had lunches catered into the office by them and they make their food as well as their desserts fresh and delicious!
You can't go wrong if you're in the mood for Italian tonight!

The service was impeccable! This was my first time at Di Pescara, I went there for lunch and I ordered sushi rolls and a bowl of tomato basil soup. The soup was DELICIOUS! The rolls I must admit were not my favorite but the service I received was fantastic which is why I am giving Di Pescara 4 stars. I've heard numerous compliments about this place so I will definitely come back and try their other seafood options.

I had the sweet potato roll which was a bit crunchy. At other sushi places the sweet potatoes are normally soft. Also, in this case the rolls that I ordered had the seaweed on the outside which is not the way I prefer my rolls.

Nice decor and food, but subpar front desk and host service. When we have a reservation, we don't expect to wait around for a table for 25 mins. It'd also be nice to get a courteous apology, but we didn't get that either. Needless to say, it soured my otherwise pleasant experience. Our waiter was good and attentive, and the seafood is great -- the other stuff is just decent.

I love all L.E.Y.E restaurant -  never had a bad experience with food or service. I've only been to Di Pescara once about a year ago, so my memory is kind of hazy. It's my mom's new fav restaurant, so we went for their anniversary a year ago. I remember the food being really good and that it was incredibly packed with a mostly older crowd. Their drinks are phenomenal and I whole heartily recommend the bellinitini - it is peach liqueur, peach puree, and moscato d'asti. A M A Z I N G!!! I can't comment on the service, but my parents have been there numerous of times and they had very enjoyable experiences every time.

About a week ago, we ordered takeout from Di Pescara and it was one of the best meals I've had in awhile. My sister ordered the Asparagus Wedge Salad that has tomatoes, avocado, and hearts of palm as one of the appetizers. Can I just say that it was seriously one of the best salads I've ever had (besides the Chopped Salad from Wildfire)...Unfortunately, I do not know which dressing was used, but I've been craving it ever since and I recommend it to anyone! The entree I chose was the Chicken Brioni - it comes with wild mushrooms and has a Parmesan crust all around. This particular entree does not come with a side, but it was a huge portion and incredibly good. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals as well.

Di Pescara is a bit on the pricey side, but not too bad, and for the quality of the food, it is 100% worth it. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other items on the menu!

Surprised to find a nice place like this in a mall! Salmon was good but what an extremely high price!!! Medallions were very salty. They are charging a lot of money for everything.

DiPescara is where I take people to when I'm dining out with my husband because he doesn't like it for some reason.  So I might go here at least once a month and I've never really been disappointed but I've never been blown away either.  So as my star ratings suggest - the place is "ok."

Interestingly enough, my favorite dish in this seafood restaurant is the Chicken Milanese.  It is a generous portion of thinly cut chicken - crispy on the outside but tender on the inside and complimented with arugula and tomato salad.  They also used to have these doughnuts for dessert which they took off the menu :-(

Strange how I haven't review Di Pescara as I frequent this LEYE joint quite often.

What more can you ask for?  Fresh seafood, attentive service, and peppermint ice cream with hot fudge!  And don't feel guilty for breaking your NY resolutions, most of their desserts come in one ($1) or two bite sizes for a fraction of the full size cost.  End your solid meal with some dessert!

Lunch is a great option to try many items on their dinner menu.  Some of my favorites for both menus are the almond-crusted whitefish, barbecue-ginger salmon, chicken brioni, louie louie salad, and the simple but delicious caesar salad.

This is one of the lower cost LEYE restaurants but same great quality!

I stood directly in front of the the young girl and older man at the "Information" desk for a good 5 minutes without any acknowledgement of my presence.  They seemed pretty confused, and  I almost walked out because they pissed me off.  Not the way I wanted to start my night out.

We were seated on time and the service and meal were terrific.  I had the Sesame Sea bass and it was perfect.

I would highly recommend this place and I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the terrible check-in process.

Was in town from the NJ/NY area visiting a client and stopped in with a co-worker. We weren't expecting much since we just happened to pass by the place in a mall.
We were pleased to wind up having a really tasty meal.
I had the Shrimp and pasta in light vodka sauce and my co-worker had the lobster and pasta. We were both very happy with our choices.

Never a disappointment. One of my favorite places to dine while I'm in town. The service is impeccable. I always get the same thing. The seared Ahi salad. It's so delicious. The shrimp cocktail is fabulous as well with a beautiful presentation.  Make reservations because they are super busy even on weekdays!

Doesn't fish and chips WITH fried shrimp sound awesome? That's what I thought too, until the dish I ordered for an early dinner came out and I saw the "chips". I was served a mound of tiny match-shaped potato sticks. What are these "chips" that you speak of? Not the thick, soggy-in-some-places, chips that you get and douse with malt vinegar. This could have been incredible, but I ended up wasting a lot of food here.

J's scallop dish wasn't better either. It was drowning in a cream-sauce. If the seafood had been fresh, why would you do this to it? It was hard to eat, lacking in flavor, especially at $25 a plate.

Then, I thought, "HEY! I love the brioche doughnut balls here", and those too disappointed. Not even warmed though. I rarely turn down carbs sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.

Still a bit mildewy smelling and filled with a geriatric crowd.

The good? My chowder and the ginger lemonade. But we all know I like to eat more than that.

Di Pescara is to Northbrook Court what Reel Club is to Oak Brook. There are numerous similarities between the two restaurants and some pleasant differences. The menu at Di Pescara seems to be larger and maybe a bit more economical than Reel Club. Like all Lettuce Entertain You restaurants, you can expect good quality and nice size portions for your money.

I started with a bellinitini, which is a great summer drink, fruity but not overpowering. The shrimp bisque was tasty and a small is the perfect portion size for a soup. I would also recommend the Green Goddess salad (finally a side salad that only costs $5)! It drives me nuts when you have to pay $7+ for a simple side salad.

The parmesan crusted sea scallops were amazing. There were six in the order, which is a nice dinner portion. Be careful because they are wrapped in zucchini, which is not mentioned in the menu. I'm a huge zucchini fan so it wasn't an issue but I could see how some people wouldn't be happy. My husband went with the King crab legs and filet, which was a lot of food for $40. My mom went with the mild tilapia and was pleased when our waitress offerered to sub the fries she wanted for the regular arugula.

I would definitely return to Di Pescara. The food was flavorful, cooked very well and not ridiculously priced.

    What a GEM!

I've lived in Deerfield for 10 years, and I have to imagine that this place is relatively new, otherwise I'm kicking myself that I haven't been here sooner. I love that it's PACKED on a weekday evening - that's a good sign.

The crab diablo pasta is to die for ($19, homemade linguine), and the pub style fish/shrimp and chips are the best I've ever had ($18). They use a panko batter instead of a beer batter, so it's lighter and crispier. The "house fries" are more like shoestrings... and delicious. The red house sangria is quite nice, too (this can be hard to get right! $21 for a pitcher that will fill 4.5 wine glasses).

I took one half star off because each time I've been here, our waiters have been running around and out of sight most of the time. Understaffed? The other half star is for the wine list. I consider myself a bit of a wine snob and find it concerning when someone puts Mirassou Chard or Starborough Sauv Blanc on the menu at a 300% markup from what I can get it at Binny's. It's Mirassou! I guess they're counting on people not knowing their wines. Stick to the sangria or the cocktails - which all look delicious.

That said, I will be back... the food is so good!

Note: Definitely need to either a) call ahead, or b) make a reservation in advance.

I was really excited to check out Di Pescara. I drive past it all the time and I saw it had good ratings on yelp. I went on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was full and the tables were much to close together. I felt like a mouse trying to find the cheese in a maze met by dead ends along the way to the table.

The service left much to be desired. We were essentially ignored by our waitress. It took her 20 minutes to bring us our bill.  Not cool.

The food was really good though.  I am not sure if I would return simply because of the service... or lack thereof.

Sorry Di Pescara, you just made it to 3 stars.

Lunch with wife and daughter on a recent week day.  It is only an average expectation to get a moist chicken parmesan (not overcooked) sandwich with the brioche bun.  Fail.

The chowder is very good and pulled the ranking to three stars.  The croutons should be removed and forgotten about.

Fairness note: a couple of months ago, we had dinner here with friends, W and R of Skokie (yes, those celebs), and had a very enjoyable meal.

I went there for the first time for a job celebration dinner.  It was packed for a Tuesday night.  In the typical Lettuce fashion it had an extensive, creative menu.  There were several birthday celebrations and they all were given a dessert with a candle in it for the table to enjoy.

As I said it was a celebration so one person had the lobster, moist and succulent with drawn butter and red jacket potatoes and corn on the cob.  I had the small chopped salad (it could have fed 2-3) with soy nuts, crumbled blue cheese, carrots, tomatoes, bacon and a wonderful blue cheese vinaigrette.  Their cocktails were as good as the food.  We had Preseco and the Metro Martini.

Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and when asked for suggestions she was not shy in steering us in the right direction.

The evening would have been 5 stars except after we were served, I asked for a little more dressing on the side , (I know it is a salad and should be healthy, but there really wasn't enough).  I had to ask a second time and then when it was time for the check it took so long that we had to get up and look for our server.

The atmosphere was nice, but as mentioned in other reviews, the tables are too close.

What a fabulous find!  My hubby and I took his grandmother for lunch here and not only did we love the restaurant, but so did his grams!

We had an early lunch (around 11:15), and the place was a bit empty.  I enjoyed the delicious warm bread with the olive oil and parm cheese! Yummo!

I feel that have a great lunch menu with great prices!  I ordered the tomato-basil soup and the Goddess salad, which were both scrumptious!  My hubby ordered the tuna salad sandwhich, which was a huge portion! He's a big eater and couldn't finish it all!  It came with fries and an adorable cup of the clam chowder (which Im not a clam chowder fan, but I'm sorry I didn't order this for my soup!)!  My grams-in-law ordered the Parmesan Chicken Sandwhich, which she enjoyed!

    Pros:
    ~ Good location
    ~Great lunch prices
    ~ Delicious food, good portions
    ~ Good service (yay!)
~ Seems like it would be a great place to go to for drinks as well, they had a cute bar area!

    Cons:
~ I wish they would have given my hubby more clam chowder so I could have had more :) :)

Great lunch place, I'm sure its a great dinner place as well...for 3 people for lunch (including one beer and a coffee) and tip, it was $45...not too shabby!!

I actually love it here -- yes, I lowered the avg age on a Saturday night by abt 45 years (and that is a conservative estimate), so it's not exactly a place to go to see and be seen -- but, the food is always pretty decent, and the menu is varied enough that literally anyone can find something enticing.

Our fam goes for the 15+ different fish preparations (ranging from miso glazed bass to cedar planked salmon and even standard fish n' chips), as well as for the delicious salads -- but the pastas look pretty solid (at least the portions are large), and I've heard good things about the steaks and chicken too -- like I said, anyone can look at the menu and find something to eat.  Will it be amazing?  Probably not.  Will it range from "fair to good to surprisingly delish"?  Probably.  It's a little hit or miss, but I've had more hits than misses -- and the misses are never atrocious, they just need more flavor.  I've never had a freshness issue w/ the fish or veggie stuff.

The ambiance is what you would expect from a Lettuce Entertain You joint -- smooth, "suburb chic" -- a little corporate, but serviceable.  The staff is always friendly -- though in terms of getting a table, go early, make a res on OpenTable, or be prepared to wait for an hour anytime after 7pm on the weekends.  If you're in the burbs and looking for a low-key night out,
di Pescara is great -- oh, but it does get loud, so get ready to crank up the hearing aids.

    Din for 3 w/ 2 glasses of wine, 3 salads, 1 app, 3 entrees, 1 side, a dessert, and 2 coffees was $158 pre-tip.

Giant whole Maine lobster, $26.  Drawn butter served in a butter warmer.

"One bite" desserts, $1.  I had the Boston Cream Pie.

I say, if you are going to eat in a mall, this is the way to do it.

To the tune of the Brady Bunch:"

"Here's a story, of a nasty lady... who was eating salads with her daught-in-law... she was crabby, and her guest was silent,... it was the cobb salad..."

I have never seen such bad behavior in my life as I did last Sunday at Di Pescara. I've eaten at the restaurant several times, and the service is always fantastic. The servers are helpful, and the menu literally has something for everyone.

On this occasion, I had the heirloom tomato salad and chicken giardinara. Both were exceptional. Fresh, delicious vegetables, and beautifully prepared chicken. So good.

The booth next door, unfortunately, held the Wicked Witch of the West. She was (we learned later) with her future daughter-in-law, which explained her silence during the entire fiasco. This lady complained to the high heavens, over non-existent problems not worth getting into here,... she screamed that the problem was that "no cooks around here even speak English" and you can imagine that it went downhill from there.

When we left, we walked by their table, which they had just left, and that old bitty left three pennies atop her check for a tip. I so wish I knew her name to call her out... but as a ray of warning, I beseech the future daughter-in-law: Don't marry that man... eventually you'll be treated like the hired help.

Digressions, digressions... Try Di Pescara... the food and the service are incredible. :-)

I've only eaten here once and I have to say it was very much...OK.  Here's what I really like about the place: the service.  Here's what I didn't like about the place:  The food, the room, and the crowd.

I was with a group of eight on a Thursday evening and the place was packed.  Here, that meant that you could hardly move or hear yourself think.  The tables are way too close together.  I actually saw a little girl trying to get to the restrooms and having a tough time getting there because the tables were so tight.  The poor thing went around and around until she could find a path out.  Can this be legal?  What if patrons needed to get out in a hurry?  Given the somewhat advanced age of the crowd and the way they are so tightly packed in, it would be a long and laborious process to get everyone out.

I had one of the nightly specials: veal meatballs.  Maybe it was my fault for ordering veal in a restaurant named, I think, after fish.  But in any case they were decidedly mediocre, way too salty and not all that tasty.  I ate one and brought the other two home.  Some of my companions had fish dishes, which looked really good (and tasted good too, they said).  Like I said, should of ordered the fish.

Service was OK and the food runners (miracle of miracles!) seemed to know who had ordered what, most of the time.

Parking is OK (this place is in a mall, after all) and valet parking is offered if you don't want to walk to your car (you lazy slug, you!).

I was really surprised to see that this is a Lettuce Entertain You place.  They can, and usually do, do better.  And so could you by eating someplace else.

Di Pescara satisfied my intense hunger after a day of shopping.

While the atmosphere was a tad pretentious, the food was good and not too pricey. I had the angel hair with pomodoro sauce, the sauce was suprisingly flavorful and the whole wheat pasta was cooked just right. They dont have very many vegetarian selections- unless you want to build a meal out of sides.

I didnt get to try dessert, because I became stuffed on bread and pasta BUT the dessert dish our neighbors were having looked lovely. Check it out if you are hungry after shopping.

P.S. Yes, the crowd is definately the 50+.

I walked in after 7pm on a Thursday evening.  Restaurant completely packed like a nursing home.  While waiting, I asked a waiter if there were early bird specials and hence the geriatric crowd.  He laughed and said that's just the local clientele.

Friendly service.  Bread, alright.  Flat pasta w/ the meat sauce, may be it was an off night as the pasta all stuck together.  I liked the Caesar w/ poached salmon.  Chicken with mushroom was very tender.

Portions were enormous so we didn't have room for dessert.

I was not impressed with this place. I met a group of girlfriends here one night a couple of weeks ago. I was excited to try their watermelon drop martini. It was so sweet and it tasted to have no alcohol in it at all. The bread basket was fine, small for 5 people, but it was ok. I had the chopped salad. It was nothing to write home about. I have had much better chopped salad at other places.

The service was pretty lousy. I was asking about items what were vegetarian and our server didn't know and just told me to 'stay away' from certain items because she didn't know if they had chicken stock in them or not...hello? Go ask the chef! Which she finally did and the items I was warned to stay away from turned out to be vegetarian after all!

They do have a one bite dessert option and the night we went it was a chocolate covered strawberry for $1. That was the best part of the meal!

This place should get 3 stars -- but I am giving it 4 because it looks like my four-year old niece loved it here.

My parents and I took the booger for some lunch here. We had the clam chowder to start off with, along with the butternut squash soup. Surprisingly, my niece loved the squash soup and was downing it quicker than I could refill the spoon (mind you -- she is super picky, just like her aunt!)

I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich which was very yummy! So yummy I couldn't finish it and packed some home. My niece had the butter pasta which she enjoyed while sipping on her plastic kid friendly cup they gave her. My dad had steak, while my mom had the shrimp and chips combo - which they both enjoyed.

For dessert, we got one of their $1 items (macaroons) and ice cream with hot fudge on top with my niece thoroughly enjoyed.

This place was low maintenance (despite being in Northbrook Court) and inexpensive (again, despite being in Northbrook Court).

I have been here for lunch quite a few times and I love it. It's a great fish house with a unique take on the preparation.

You must try the milanese tilapia - mild or spicy. It is their signature dish and one worth trying. Your fish milanese will be topped with some arugula and radish garnish and this really balances the flavor of the crispy fish.

My friends have also tried the pasta squares and pasta alfredo and have raved about both of these dishes as well.

Service is good, though not overly attentive. Prices are reasonable and the location is just okay. I am not a huge fan of Mall-locations but it is convenient for me on my work lunch.

I have been to De Pescara about a thousand times.  Sorry for those that find the parking annoying, not sure how anyone could think that valet parking and a parking lot that can fit a million cars is annoying.

My favorite drink there has to be the peach bellini.  It's a must, but only for those that like a sweet drink.  I got the recipe from the manager and can make a bellini at home now for my guest when I entertain. So far everyone that has tried it loves it too!  Deeeelish!

Salad....I love the orchard salad.  I don't care for green goddess dressing that comes with it (ewww), I exchange it for the sesame dressing.  The salad is pretty big, so try and share if you can.  It's very fresh tasting as it has apples, pears  jicama and sunflower seeds in it. I know it sounds strange,  but trust me, it's yummy.

Entree.....I have tried a lot of the specials, but I usually go back to the talapia in paper, It's always so moist and good.  When I get sick of eating it to much, I take a break and go for the simply broile white fish.

Dessert.....I like the apple crostata, it's made for two.  I wish it didn't have so much rock sugar on it, but it's still pretty tasty.  My second fav dessert there has to be the make your own donuts!  You get a plate of about six donuts and three sauces, chocolate, raspberry and a DELICIOUS white cream sauce that I don't know the name of, but it's my fav.  Most people put the sauce on top of the donut and eat it, but I like to split my donut open and put the sauce on the inside :-)

The service there for a party of four n under is usually pretty good.  I have been there too many times for a party of eight or more and I always feel invisible to the server with a crowd that large.  The servers seem to ignore the large parties and I have closed the restaurant too many times with a large party, due to the lack of attention from the server.  HINT....if your going there with a large party, eat before you go so your not ignored and starving.

I've dined here a few times and also have been here for a wedding shower. My family has ate here several times for lunch and dinner. Overall, I've had good experiences. But my experience this past Sunday on Mother's Day was horrendous, so I have to take away a star. It was probably as busy as a Saturday night. Our waiter was stupid and so not efficient. We had to ask over and over for the simpliest things. We were also celebrating a birthday, and we were so fed up with the service that we didnt even have the energy to order dessert. After the meal, he didn't even bother asking us if we'd like to dessert. We had to keep asking the manager to bring us extra salad dressing, desert menus, etc. Not to mention the fact that this young waiter sweats PROFOUSLY and it's really just gross.

The food is very good, but just be sure not to get the sweaty waiter. Otherwise, your chicken parm may have an extra kick to it.

First impressions walking in - this place was filled with pretentious forty-somethings.  Even though we made reservations, we still ended up waiting a while for our table.  What's the friggin' point of having a reservation only to have to wait? - didn't they make an episode of Seinfeld about this very issue?

Our waitress was in her own little world.  She never placed any of the drinks in front of the person who ordered it.  Sometimes she'd just run by and drop off several drinks in front of one of us without ever stopping.  The busing staff was very attentive though.  The food came and went (right into my belly) - all damn delicious cept for some crappy wilted spinach.  The airhead waitress proceeded to put down settings for dessert.  Oops, ran out before everyone got their settings... she just left... oh well.  The food in itself was excellent - huge salads, excellent fish, and even better desserts.  But the waitress never really came by to check on things and really didn't do anything right.

Try their miso-glazed black cod (very moist and tender) and gelato.  Good mojitos too.

Di Pescara is a slightly upper class restaurant with an Italian and seafood tendency.  It's located in Northbrook Court, facing Lake-Cook Rd. so access is easy.  Parking is fine, but you may have to walk a bit if the mall is busy.

Their menu is large and has some new ideas with it.  I had a pasta and shrimp with tomato sauce for the main course and it was good.  The shrimp was good.  They did leave the tails on the shrimp.  I realize that nicer restaurants tend to do this, but it's a pain for the customer.  For my cup of soup I tried their New England Clam Chowder and was pleased.  It came with plenty of chunky goodness in the broth.  My parents had their tomato based soup (the name escapes me) and they both raved about it.  It was also the server's recommendation.  Dessert was also good.  I had a mere bite though.

The server was good.  He knew the menu and was very polite.  At times, it felt a little slow.  We spent two hours at the restaurant.  The environment is pretty good.  It's popular among middle aged to 70 year olds.  I was the youngest non-employee at the restaurant.  It does get pretty noisy and is a little bit dark for my tastes.  Pricing is a little pricy at $15 - $20 a plate.

I enjoyed my time there, even if it was a little too long (I am not patient).  Our food was good and the waiter was good at what he did.
