Came here on a Friday night around 7 and we were sat immediately which was nice.
The tables need a bit of an update- a few were a little unstable but that is an easy fix.
I think they do karaoke or live music but that wasn't starting until later. Â They had a great playlist on during dinner- enough for everyone to mention something about it at one point during the meal.
Two of us ordered the mac and cheese- one with lobster. DELISH. Â VERY very rich- I usually eat everything and I brought half home. Â
They had a garlic ranch dressing and it was delicious (for side salad).
The fish and chips were also really good... I noticed that they are also featuring a Caribbean type of cuisine as well on special.
I'll be back- really nice vibe, super friendly servers.
I have been going to Dinos since they opened. I have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Used to be a nice place to go for pricey than normal food that was very good. However, lately the place is just too loud. It doesnt seem to matter what time of day it is. Â There are always tv's blaring and the music extremely loud, even when there was only 3 people in the place. I know, if you dont like how loud it is, dont go there. So I dont anymore. Plus, the service is hit or miss. Seems like they dont have enough wait staff to handle the volume of business.
Since I dont like the volume of the sound in the place, we decided to order a carry out. I placed the order online and we arrived when the confirmation email said our order would be ready. Â Well, when we inquired about our order, the bartender pulled the order off the fax machine and said it will be another 20 min wait because they just saw the fax. I guess the 5 people in the place were taking up the bartenders time. Maybe they need a better online ordering system. Although Anita's uses the same system and they always have the order on time. Or maybe Dinos just started online ordering and havent figured it out yet. Whatever the reason doesnt really matter. There are many more restaurants in Ferndale to visit or get a carry out from.
With all that said, I might return in the far future. Especially if they put back on the menu the half chicken dinner  and the buffalo shrimp appetizer with the best damn blue cheese coleslaw I ever tasted.
I liked my greasy egg quesadilla thing but my girlfriend ordered the sliders and they were disgusting. Stale bread, gross cheese and dry. Both of our potatoes were cold and undercooked. The fruit was warm which is not cool. Â The bloody mary was good but they give you wells vodka and the mimosa was warm and tasted sub dece. PBR was excellent. Â Overall this restaurant kind of sucks. The vibe is cheapy tacky...honestly get some chairs that dont remind me of a retirement home and tables that aren't bigger than my living room. Sorry for being so harsh but this place needs to be knocked down a peg.
