As always, choose your nights, and research the talent if you go to dance clubs/bars like this one. Grasshopper Underground is an exceptional venue for dance music. The talent they bring in here is consistently good, the staff are beyond cool and respectful.
Weekends can get a bit annoying with the drunk crowds coming in on Fridays and Saturdays, tripping over my shoes and spilling drinks into my face. Gee thanks.
But like I said, choose your nights and research your talent. I've seen some amazing DJs here on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Facebook Grasshopper Underground to be updated on all events.
The sound system is absolutely fantastic, and like I said, the talent is too.
Do it.
I love this place. It's nice to go to a dive bar that plays good House with that funky underground vibe. To the people who complain about going here because they think it's too small, nobody is dancing, and it's tough to have a conversation, hear this:
The fact that it's small will make it seem bigger when the place gets packed. People will dance when they get some drinks in them (it's best to come at 11:30 when it starts bumping instead of sitting around at 10 waiting for the night to kick off). Tough to have a conversation? What did you expect, a tea party? It's supposed to be loud, that's the point of it.
This place is a blast overall. If you're not into going to clubs with too much Trap and high school kids, this is the place for you. Very chill environment, friendly staff, and a cool mix of different people. Love ya Grasshopper, keep it real!!!.
Based on the new remodeling.
Great sound system. Great DJ Booth. Layout is MUCH better than it used to be.
Drink pricing is fine. Staff seems great. No real issues with this place anymore. Music is top shelf electronic and house. Great place to stop in and cover is always cheap.
They should let women in for free at this (and every) place in my opinion... other than that it's solid
