DOC Haus the

We are proud south city supporters through and through.  Have given this place a few tries and they have failed every single time.  We have left before we had time to eat due to the poor service.  Basically, we have experienced horrific service.  If you are not a regular who has been going to this bar for years, you are out of luck - at least this is what we have encountered.  Most south city dives are welcoming.  I have not experienced this at this dive.  My neighbor raves about the burgers but when you are not acknowledged when you walk in a bar and it takes 15 minutes to order a beer (when two people are in there), it is not a place you want to stick around and give your money for dinner.

Walked in here for a snort on a Saturday night after an afternoon of shooting pool at Colorado Bob's.  

Unfortunately, it was the night of their neighborhood Christmas Party so the place was packed.  Fortunately, it was the night of their neighborhood Christmas Party, so there was free food for the customers.

Heard their burgers are good.  Will have to try next time.

Imagine that...a neighborhood bar that gives it's customers free food just because.

Anyway, my crew was welcomed enthusiastically and we enjoyed some longnecks for cheap.

Deceptively larger on the inside than it looks from the sidewalk.

Definitely a place to add to your South City Pub Crawl list, but street parking only.
