My experience at this location was mixed. Â My waitress/server was very pleasant and friendly. Â The condition of the dining was "old". Â It does not look like it has been rehabbed or refurbished in 15-20 years.
The food was average. Â I had a steak with baby potatoes and a side salad. Â The salad seemed to be a bit more complicated than it needed to be. Â Some exotic greens, sunflower seeds and cranberry raisins. Â The steak was bland and/or under seasoned. Â The potatoes were good. Â For the price, the meal was an under performer. Â Expect to pay around $20-25/person, excluding bar drinks.
The key lime pie was good and what I have come to know as authentic.
The ambience is nice. We enjoyed being outdoors. We didn't enjoy the stares though.
I might be too healthy for this place. The blackened shrimp is good. The Caesar salad wasn't exactly to my liking because the lettuce was a bit old (it was turning brown in the middle). Nothing else on their menu appealed to me personally. I'm too picky I guess.
My husband had the fish & chips, which was average.
My daughter had their pasta off the kids menu. We would have to pay an additional $7 for broiled shrimp for her. Their kids menu should be expanded to include seafood items.
