One of my favorite spots on this side of the river...and on that side of the river. Great local clientele, awesome accomodating owner who takes pride in his bar. best place to watch sports with like minded sports junkies and great all day specials everyday. Whiskey Wednesdays are always a great deal and car bomb hour every night is hands down the best thing I've ever found in a bar. $4 car bombs=genius. Â Food is ample, well executed and done with pride. Can't sing their praises enough, a true Irish/Beantown bar in Vancouver WA. Â Slainte!
Review Source:I've only had drinks here, so I can't say much about the food except that my friend's tortilla chips looked fresh. Â You can't beat the all-day drink specials. Â The projection screen is nice for watching games, which is a great change from squinting at any of the little televisions placed near the ceiling of the other bars and restaurants downtown. Â While it is a great place to meet a friend or three with comfortable seating and good-sized tables, I wouldn't recommend it to large groups due to their somewhat limited space.
Review Source:Since an Irishman won the US Open, we decided a Guiness toast was in order and headed off to downtown Vancouver to try the Dublin Down Pub. Â Downtown was pretty much deserted on this Sunday evening, and there were just a few regulars at the bar when we arrived. Â The owner/chef/bartender/waiter presented the Guiness properly drawn, with a shamrock design on the head. Â We expected the usual "pub fare" - everything frozen and deep fried. Â Our appetizer of hot wings was prepared just the way they are supposed to be served, and gave us hope. Â The menu was a pleasant surprise, and the shepherd's pie was hearty and satisfying, if slightly bland. Â The most adventurous of our group ordered the pork shanks and they were melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. (Unfortunately, this item is coming off the menu due to slow sales) Â Our vegetarian ordered salad and mac and cheese, which was absolutely perfect. Â The salads were fresh and of good size. Â This is our new favorite Vancouver pub, and we'll be back.
Review Source:Sandwiched between the Joe Brown's cafe and some jank closed jewelry store is a little slice of heaven I like to call "Dublin" (cause that is their name)
We have been there before, but usually after someone ends up texting us that "Dublins going off." tonight was different... we went a bit early and got there around 8:30PM... and it had some people there watching a soccer game and playing shuffleboard, but it was a nice and relaxed environment... nothing like the usual debauchery that we usually see here on "those" nights...
But as the night drew on and the drinks started flowing (We had blonde bombshells for $3) and one in our group ordered the house red wine... don't laugh, it was a 1/3rd of a bottle of wine for 5.50! and the wine was decent.
fast forward 2.5 hours, several drinking groups of rowdies, 20 hot 20-something girls and enough Irish Car Bombs to make Sinn Fein blush and you have a raging ass party with dancing and other assorted couples activities...
I just wish i could remember where i left my cell phone... so i could text you to tell you  "Dublins going off."
Because it does!
