When in old town, we usually end up at this bar and are always prepared to drink. Besides people watching and consuming alcoholic beverages, there isn't much else to this bar. It is a no frills kind of place that exhibits little east coast flare, unless you stumble upon the owner.

Atmosphere: This bar is dim by day and very dark by night. It is a small place with very little seating unless you find an empty stool at the bar. There is bench seating along the east side wall, but no real tables, only tall cocktail stands.

Service: Mostly bar service is provided, but you will occasionally see a cocktail waitress on patrol. The bartenders all know their "stuff" and stay on top of their job.

Drinks: This bar is equipped with the usual selection of local craft and domestic brews at a little lower price than other old town bars. In addition to brew, it is a fully stocked bar. East Coast is also the home of the "Bombito" which is a smaller version of a Jager (jagermeister) Bomb poured into an over-sized shot glass with only a little bit of Red Bull.

Food: No menu. No food. No kitchen. Who needs it? This place is strictly a watering hole.

I've been going to this bar for for about 4 years and the service in the last 6 months has steadily declined.  I've had more than one bartender be extremely rude and flat out not listen to my drink order/request to close my tab.

The new layout is an awkward space - it isn't often that it is packed enough to warrant opening it up and taking out the walls that divided it into a more comfortable space.  The long bench along the wall makes it feel like a high-school dance gone wrong and the metal tables are too small and at an awkward height.

East Coast - check your attitude.  This customer is no longer coming back.

East Coast is a dump, the owner is a massive douche nozzle, and the place is full of coke-heads and dirtbags.  The place is sort of empty with not much soul.

If this is your idea of a good time, then go on ahead.

As much as I love playing records, I actually hate travelling. Touring always makes me home sick and at any given point my fat ass would rather be sitting on the porno couch in my living room watching tivo than be stuck in a hotel room in a foreign city. However, I love the experience of playing for people, especially people who haven't heard me before. It's like a first date. The first time I played at the East Coast, I was pretty sure I'd never get a second date. Here I am playing breakbeats at a Colorado rock n roll bar where they had to clear out the crowd favorite pool and foosball tables just to make enough room for me to play.

But you know what? Fort Collins was ready. A great progressive local ideaology and people ready to move past the classic rock selections on the jukebox and the top 40 hip hop remixes at the bump n grind club downtown. Heads in Fort Collins were ready for some new music and I've been back there at the end of each month and it's just been an amazing experience.

The East Coast has it figured out for sure!  Friendly and funny booze slingin' bartenders who make it that much more fun to get sauced.  Great tunes from their monthly DJs and the Sunday night live Irish music is killer.  Do it! Do it!

I would like to commend The East Coast owner's for superb hospitality and class.  Billy and Dave bring it to you like you are family.  No one in that town had even heard of Fernet.  We requested it and they dug it up after hitting like 8 likker stores to find it.  We polished off a bottle like it was out job (cuz its in our contract to have it!!) and they went and got more for the second night.  Long live Loomis and Billy behind the bar!
