Meh, simple pitas
Came in here for a quick snack before heading out. Their menu is huge and has so much to offer. I had the veggie pita and it was good, but simple. Friends had other kinds of pitas, there were no complaints but no big raves about it either. Fries were really crispy and delicious, be sure to add those.
First time going here and I thought it was great! Â The man that took my order was very friendly. Â Like other comments, menu is huge but I don't personally see that as a bad thing. Â I had the Combo beef and sausage hot sandwich (italian beef and italian sausage - can you say "delizioso"??) and it came with a side of fries, soup or something else (maybe salad - clearly it didn't interest me) and I went with the Tomato and Pasta shells soup. Â I ordered it to go but when it came out I decided I was hungry and wanted to eat it right there, which I'm very glad I did (a) because the sandwich was FANTASTIC and (b) because it's quite a juicy sandwich that would have turned the entire bun thingy into a soggy mess had I waited. Â Soup was not great - I'd definitely op for a different kind or try the fries (or 3rd side option) if I went back.
Moral of the story - sandwich was fantastic and if you get a juicy sandwich, eat it there to fully enjoy it!
Yuck... no... DISGUSTING! I can't believe I wasted my cheat day on this awful place!
I love Greek food, especially a nice Greek sandwich or Greek salad complete with Kalamata olives and feta! I went in and asked the man behind the counter (appeared to be the owner) if he could make me something similar to a Souvlaki sandwich. I should have walked out when he looked at me like I had 5 heads. What type of Greek or someone who specializes in Greek food are you?? You don't know what Souvlaki means? Bogus! He said he can make me a Greek sandwich and I agreed (couldn't deviate too far from a Souvlaki, right??). While I was waiting for it to cook, the owner continued to come out to the seating area and ask me to move twice... I don't know what this was about but terrible customer service. When I got the sandwich I decided to take it home.
When I got home I was super excited to dig in! I opened the brown bag only to find out that the "Greek" sandwich was wrapped in a Mexican tortilla. What kind of Greek sandwich is not made with a pita... THE NAME OF THE PLACE IS CALLED EAT-A-PITA! I was so upset. I ate the sandwich anyway, only to regret it hours later. The chicken was fatty, the lettuce and tomato was sparse, the onions were too powerful, and I could have gotten higher-quality feta a Whole Foods.
I guess the cheap price matches the cheap quality. It was truly a disappointing experience and I will never return!
