Jack's on Halsted

We like the burgers and fries at Jack's, and also the fish and appetizers.

My girlfriend had a couple of the martini 's.  The waiter was amiable and we think this is a well priced neighborhood restaurant that is sophisticated and casual.  

Prices are average, not too high, not too low.

We returned to Jack's for New Year's Eve dinner this year and it was wonderful as usual.  The service and food were, again, outstanding and everything was just as it should be.  Once thing I love about this place is the variety of menu offerings and the perfection each is served with.  You cannot go wrong with any item on their menu and the value is well deserved.

For an elegant night out, this is a very good restaurant and well worth the visit.

This place is definitely a cure for the common week. I went to Jack's on a dark and cold weeknight and was greeted by Christian and the most well balanced and extremely full Dirty Martini topped with blue cheese olives...YUM.

The table was wobbly and the butter was brought out cold (when will they learn?! Can't spread cold butter) but trust me, these two bumps are that and nothing more. My friend had veggie pizza (stacked with fresh vegetables) and I had mushroom risotto (they had to stop me licking the plate) ;-)
