The pictures of Eden seem really cool with all the white furniture, drapery, Â and iridescent lighting, but looks can definitely be deceiving. The club is really trying hard to portray something they are not... which I will get into later.
There's two different levels or areas within the venue. I've had the opportunity to experience both. The bigger area with a large bar in the middle and all the beds off to the side is cool but the really "street" looking brick walls indoors against the pure white furniture just isn't working and neither are the plastic leaves glued to the walls. The smaller area is actually much more appealing to be in. Unfortunately, with all this space... they really don't manage to fill the venue even to half capacity! I think the problem is their music.... They had a 40 something guy DJing, playing REALLY OLDDD Tracks.... I mean like top 40 from the 90s... and that was pretty much it. I just felt like I was stuck in a time warp. I'm not trying to be ageist or anything, because there's some really awesome older DJs out there, but this guy wasn't one of them.
This place has some real possibilities but they need to do some real good promotions and get some new DJs playing some hot beatz from today!
This place kinda shocked me at first, but then..the effect wore into disillusionment. I really had no idea where I was going or what to expect when I got here; I was with a bachelor+ette party and we had to wait in the VIP line, outside, by ourselves. Little weird when the VIP line is stuck waiting.
Arriving inside, y'get a coupla girls on poles. Very scantily clad, in rather good shape. Goes with the job, I'm sure. Anyway, the leaves are weird. Colors seem amiss. Maybe it's because they have some naked-ish chicks' shadows dancing on the wall. We had one of those lounge-y beds, but we didn't stay on it long. I much would've rather had a chair.
Drinks were fine. Music was awful. The DJ showed us just how to trainwreck transitions and gave us lovely examples of scratching without rhythm or reason. The sound was dull and didn't seem to stop, regardless of the lyrics or songs.
My friend put it best. To paraphrase, he had been here when it first opened, and claimed it the cheesiest thing he had ever seen. He didn't return until this party, when he remarked in amazement that it had become even cheesier. =P
