Tony's Sports Bar

I think this place ranks up there with the best of Ferndale's dives but since it's on the North side I rarely have occasion to get here unless it's fun day Sunday and we're doing the walking tour of Woodward's establishments. All I know is they have a small patio for your relaxation, cold beer, stiff pours and really friendly bartenders not to mention that Midwest's Finest like this place so you know you're in good company.

Ahhh Tony's my corner bar.  Cheap drinks, good burgers, and well within walking distance... what more can you ask for??  It is definitely nothing fancy, just a neighborhood dive with lots of regulars that come in.  The bartenders are always friendly.  It's a good place to watch a game without being surrounded by a bunch of d-bags (Ferndale, you know who I'm talking about).

I was happy to see that they had Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy on tap when I was in a couple weeks ago.

This is also one of my favorite places to head during the Woodward Dream Cruise.  It far enough away from 9 Mile so it's not too crazy.  Their patio in the front it great for cruise viewing (aka crazy good people watching) and they always set up a tent and do some outside grilling.

Keep your expectations low and your inhibitions are sure to fall in line.

Cheap beer. Keno. Bar stools that feel like you're sitting on a 30 degree slant. It's got everything you'd want in a dive bar.

Checked this place out last Saturday and I think it's a great spot to kick off an evening to keep your wallet in check before you venture on to other (more expensive) spots.
