Located in the Glen, Eggsperience is a solid three stars and worth a visit for breakfast or lunch (I don't think it's opened in the evening anyhow). Â The ambiance is a little kitschy and seems like it could use an update. Â It's a little bit like walking around in a very flowery egg yolk. Â Also, it's a bit dilapidated so it could probably use a good scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint as well as some new upholstery on the booths. Â
The staff is good and they do a good job of explaining everything on the menu as well as making sure that your coffee/soda/water is filled throughout the meal. Â One more thing about the booths, they are very tight. Â I'm six feet four inches and felt very uncomfortable in the booths. Â I think they were trying to increase the number of people that they can fit into the restaurant as it's always pretty popular but they sacrificed comfort. Â Also, because this is popular with younger families the noise can be atrocious.
On to the food. Â I've had both breakfast and lunch here and it is uniformly good. Â They are very generous with their portions so either bring a big appetite or take a doggie bag home. Â I'm a particular fan of their pancakes and omelets for breakfast. Â For lunch, I enjoy their wraps and there is almost always enough left over for another meal. Â The flavors aren't bold but their good. Â However, the food is a little overpriced even if you get a generous portion.
