The pizza isn't bad, but the slice are consistently small. It's probably 2/3 to 3/4 the size of a slice that I get anywhere else, which is a problem when you're paying $3 to $3.50 a slice. Two slices and a drink (which is probably the way most people eat) ran me just under $9, which is steep for Fort Wayne. I don't have that much of an appetite, but I ate lunch there this week and I left hungry! I travel extensively for work, and can't seem to remember the last time I paid more than $7 for this same combination. I can get a large one topping pizza and drink and Raimondo's for the same price. I'd like them to tweak their specials a smidge, adding an option 2 slices and a drink for say $6.50 for cheese or $7 for one topping.

I had a flashback to Saturday Night Fever when John Travolta, a much cooler John Travolta, strutted down the streets of Brooklyn in platform shoes, and then stopped off at a pizza by the slice joint. This is that place! The dining room fits about 20 people comfortably and some of the seating is raised on platforms to get the people out of the way to make room for the non-stop flow of customers who know, this is the only place where you get this PIZZA! You can get pizza by the slice, but if you have a group of 4 people, you should all agree on toppings that you can all live with and get a full pie. Any way you top it, this pizza will knock your socks off. The crust is hand tossed and has a little pull and just a little crunch. The sauce has an intense tomato flavor and is unlike any other marinara I have ever had. I think that a lot of love goes into that sauce. The cheese has just the right amount of pull and it has a rich milky flavor. I don't know how you can have a completely satisfying meal for so cheap.

This place is awesome!  The food is great if you are craving pizza or a sub. I had the triple and loved it - super fresh with great flavor. Diane and Sierra are working the counter and are fantastic too. If you are in FW and have time - be sure to check it out

I was recommended here by a local, and was definitely glad I gave it a try.
I came in around 1ish and the place wasn't crowded at all. I told the waitress I was a newbie so she was extremely helpful with the menu and their specials. I decided on a slice of pepperoni with a greek salad. I was extremely glad I got the greek salad. It was delicious, and the best part was the dressing it's some of the best dressing i've ever had. The pizza toppings weren't anything to rave about. I am here to rave about the sauce. This was actually one of the few times I could actually taste tomatoes in a pizza sauce, not just ketchup! any place that has good sauce automatically get's an A in my book.

Love the pizza here.  Don't forget the foursquare check-in discount!  You can get pre-made salads as well.

I worked for the Mayor a couple summers ago and used to frequent Pint and Slice for lunch at least 3 days a week. It's also a favorite for a pre-Tincaps dinner. I like Pint and Slice because:
    1. It's cheap.
    2. It supports local businesses (Mad Anthony Brewery) and local artists.
    3. The pizza and salads are good.
I agree with the Yelper who wished they'd crisp the crust before giving you the slice, but other than that, keep on keeping on, 816 Pint and Slice!

Whenever a place offers pizza by the slice I have high expectations, unless of course you stay open late and they're there for the drunks coming out of the bars at 2 a.m.

First, I'll mention that they have pretty good deals when it comes to a pint and slice. Especially considering its not Bud Light, but instead supporting Mad Anthony brewery. I always give props to a business for supporting other local businesses.

Second, they had lots of space upstairs for larger groups that you can reserve.

Third, their service was ok. The lady taking the orders seemed a little short tempered as well as the rest of the staff when a fellow friend asked how long her sandwich would take. They told her 10 minutes, and it ended up being closer to 15-20 minutes. All of us had finished eating by the time she came back.

Finally, the slice. The first go around I got the pepperoni. The first mistake is that they don't put the slice back in the oven to make the bottom crispy again. They rely on the heating lamps which is convenient, but when you go to eat the piece all the cheese is not supported by the crust. Very flimsy and can't be folded to make more supported. The crust is light a airy, but not one with a whole lot of substance. So you'll probably need to get another slice, which we did. Second go around we got the chicken bacon. This time the crust was a little more solid, but had a funny sweet taste as if it had cumin on it. I couldn't quite tell. I like when pizza places are adventurous, but it just came across strange. Would have been better with bbq sauce.
