I like the music in this place. Food is OK and service ...ehh.. What really annoys me is the people at the door. Another reviewer pointed out that they try  to charge $10 to get in. This is true, it happens the same to me. Now, you may be wondering I gave it 2 stars... the reason: door bouncer being such an ass..  just makes start my night in the wrong way.  Also, I understand that changing $10 for men is good when the place is nice, but this is not like THE PLACE and the booze is kind of expensive inside so... just to give u a hint.

During a girl's night out, we decided to give this place a try. After standing at the door being sized by the bouncer girl, she told me us had to pay $10 to get in; we looked at her and said really? We are girls?
Without saying a word we turned around and started walking away when the bouncer guy said I'm sorry is true you're girls, come in for free.
We smiled and went inside, we really wanted to dance.  We had a great time, live music, drinks. We were there for like an hour since our feet were dying (a bunch of tables in the middle, not that much space for dancing).
We went back with our boyfriends and they pulled the same trick, this time we weren't so patient so we ended up in greenstreet.
I'm not sure what the door policy is but I don't like places that girls have to pay and when they are mean for no reason.
Don't think I'll be coming back any time soon.

visited this place last night for a tribute concert of one of my fave Spanish rock bands Soda Stereo.
The place brings back memories since I practically used to live here when it was the old Sr Frogs, long time ago.
We snatched a nice table close to the stage, the band was amazing! . To our luck we got there before 10pm and were able to get the 2x1 drink specials and our waiter hooked us up! Appetizers were half off, so we ordered the nachos and a platter that included potatoes, arepas, some kinda of meat and empanadas.
The staff is very nice and attentive. Only minus is that the tables were so close to each other there wasn't a lot of space to dance.

I love finding new and awesome places to eat, and El Sitio was definitely both!  When we arrived the place was empty except for another table, which I didn't think was a good sign.  (It especially looks empty when compared to its neighbor, the overrated Greenstreet Cafe.)  Chef Omar, however, immediately welcomed us, and described the brunch specials, which sounded delicious.  I had the omelette with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese, which was without question, one of the most delicious things I've eaten in a long time.  The home fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and also delicious.  As an additional treat, the chef sent out a complimentary order of Mango French Toast.  The only word to describe this was "heavenly." Every single thing I tried was a delight.  I will definitely be back to taste the other menu items.  An added plus: the prices are incredibly cheap for the quality of the food.  A must-do in the Grove!

One of the best things about latin american cuisine to me is when I suddenly discover foodstuff that is very familiar to me from my home country. So I was more than surprised to find that colombians eat "Blutwurst", a German specialty sausage. Only did they re-baptize it to Morcilla which sounds a little less scary. But tastes none the less delicious. The dessert looked delicious too, too bad I had no space left after the sausage party.

Stumbled across this place and have been there numerous times since.
Their happy hours deals are great. A must have is their appetizer - called 100 fuegos or something like that. It has steak, shrimp, chicken, potatoes, grilled onions on a bed of fried plantains. But what makes this appetizer delicious is their secret sauce - YUM!
Their house wine isn't bad either. The nightlife entertainment is excellent as well as their staff. Best of all, code 33 is 20% off!

Stopped by for lunch today.  We live in the area, and welcome them to the 'hood.
First of all, The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating.  Each entree comes with julienne vegetables and mashed potatoes or hand cut french fries.  Not wanting potatoes, I asked for a salad instead.  They didn't just bring 3 pieces of old dried lettuce (c'mon, we've all had those), but instead brought a huge bowl of fresh salad with carrots and mushrooms and tomatoes tossed in a light vinaigrette.  The El Sitio chicken was grilled to perfection.
The vegetables were fresh and plentiful.  The only suggestion I have for the chef is too lighten up on the oil.
The owner is a musician, and they have live music on the weekends.
El Sitio means The Stop.  Definitely stop by and give them a chance.
