Falls Taproom

Probably my favorite restaurant in the Philly area. The food is (recently) never frozen, tons of beers to choose from, and the staff is probably the friendliest you'll ever encounter in East Falls.

The prices aren't ridiculous either. A perfect place for an after work drink or a relaxed dinner. The menu is small, but they put a ton of variety in everything on the menu

Took some out of town fellow workers to Falls 2 weeks ago and we had a great meal. Everyone enjoyed their food and drink. It was a work related event so I was using the company credit card. Did not pay attention to the bill as closely as I should have. The bill came in around $200 which I thought was close to what we should have been paying and our waitress was fine so I put my usual 20% tip in. Later my boss showed me that Falls had put an automatic gratuity for a party of 6 on the detail bill but had not put that on the credit card slip that I signed. So I wound up paying a $70 tip for a $170 tab. Have tried numerous times to contact owner about this but no one returns my calls.

Owner and crew went above and beyond, a totally remarkable and awesome performance, to help us out in a soggy bind......
May weekend, washout of my sons graduation celebration to be held out of doors. No tent, our poor planning.
From11AM to 3PM we drove around Philly and the burbs, stopping in and calling on proprietors inquiring as to their ability to accommodate 40-50 people. We'd pay anything at that point, lol. We were laughed at, rebuked and stared at in dismay. Then we hit the Taproom. We entered soggy and despaired. The Bartender gave us a business card and told us to call the owner. We did, and interrupted his lawn work :/. But he graciously and in a team spirit told me what he would have to do to help make this happen, from calling in staff early to ensuring kitchen was prepared. He called us back thirty minutes later and we were in!!!
What a fabulous night it turned out to be as well. The bartenders were amazing and so helpful. We ordered various off menu hors douevres , had open well drinks, beer, and wine for a per person price and basically turned the upper room into an all out party.  Loved every minute of it, and they were generous on the cost as well. So thoughtful.
I would highly recommend the Falls Taproom not only for their food and drinks, but for their awesomeness. They are what a community pub is truly about.
