A nice sports bar tucked in off the street.

Recently reopened under new ownership.  Interior looks like most sports bars:  plenty of big screen TVs, a projection TV, jerseys and lots of bar height seating.

The beer selection is good and 5 on tap includes a New England Brewery selection, as well as a fairly extensive bottle selection.  The menu is huge, and includes anything you would expect and then some.  So far, everything I've tried has been pretty tasty.

There is a separate dining room (also with TVs) for those with family or otherwise want a quieter crowd.

The staff is friendly and is always willing to look up games for you.

There are special events throughout the week (such as karaoke tuesdays) that also make the place a great visit even if you don't have a game to watch.

I live in Westville so when I feel like eating out I often go here.

There are a LOT of TVs, and a huge projector screen, all showing all the sports games everywhere.

The menu is vast, and I've never had anything bad. The staff is all friendly (there's one bartender I usually get who is awesome everytime). There is a great vibe through this bar, I always have a nice time, whether watching a game or just hiding from the New England weather.

It's a total sports bar. All I can say about the beer selection is that it's perfect for a sports bar (but they carry New England Brewery's beers, a great thing). It's also never really a hassle getting a seat at the bar. People come and go, and everyone is generally polite and will offer a seat or at least scootch over for you.

The Fan is what it is, and it's a sports bar. In fact, it's the best place anywhere in the area to watch NFL games on Sundays. There are TVs all over the place, so if a game is being played somewhere, it will be on at least one television.

The beers are fairly priced, very cold, and help wash down the free popcorn they give you. Unfortunately, the beer selection kind of sucks. What I mean by that is that they don't really offer anything other than the basics. Luckily, New England Brewing is literally across the street, so you can always find at least one of their fresh, locally made brews at The Fan.

Food wise, the menu is pretty unspectacular. Flavor wise, the same. I've never really eaten anything there and thought it was really good, but I can't recall eating anything I thought was terrible either. I say stick with the basics while your here. Chances are you'll be happier with your food that way.

Besides, there's no way I'd come here unless it was to drink beers and watch football, so it's not even that big of a deal that the food is mediocre at best. At a place like this, as long as the food isn't terrible, I'm okay with it.

Bottom line... if you're looking for a place to go out and eat, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a place you to watch the game, throw a few back, and maybe grab a bite depending on how you feel, The Fan is really the only option.
