The reason I give this place 4 stars is because their wings are 1,000% than Buffalo Wild Wings.
I love that their happy hour starts at 3....
My only complaint is that the service here isn't too good. BWW isn't any better but if you want to overpower another business, then BE a better business!
That is all.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reveiws. Â We ave been here several times, really trying to like it but consistently, the service is poor. Â The food is decent, but the staff really needs better training. Â Our appetizer came 15 minutes after the meal, which took over 1/2 an hour. Â What's wrong with this picture? Â The manager on duty could only say they were short staffed, but I counted about 8 or 9 waiters running around. Â Should be sufficient for a place half full. Â Maybe it's the kitchen, but Fire Station and I have now parted ways.
Review Source:Disappointed. Last time I checked if you are offering steaks on the menu, you should have a choice for baked potatoes. Not at this restaurant, you are told you have to settle for mash potatoes that you are unable to be served without pepper. Probably a good place for drinks if you do not care too much for a food menu.
Review Source:It's basically a TGIF/Outback/Applebees clone, except in an old firehouse, which unsurprisingly was stripped of all character it may have had in order to resemble a chain restaurant.  Chain restaurant menu executed with mediocrity and  a weak beer selection.  Wait, did I say weak beer menu?  Isn't this a brewing company?  No, it's not; that idea fell through in the planning stages of the place, but, not wanting to let reality get in the way of truth, they kept it in the name.  So, boring atmosphere, weak food, pathetic beer selection, over-priced, and a name that declares them a brewing company even though they don't brew beer.  Hopefully some new owners take over (yet again) and try to do something special with this place.
Review Source:Food excellent!
Got no burger but the Mahi wrap was A+. Cuban not bad but sorta dry - like it needed mustard, but good cuts of meat.
Wings were excellent! Crispy outside but juicy inside & meaty.
Service was moderately slow but upon ordering food came right out & waitress was all over refilling drink. Also waitress was beyond friendly!
Place is big. There is an upstairs & lots of outside seating. Roomy downstairs. Big, long full service bar. Step up for booth seating. Plenty of room for a wheelchair or walker.
Parking stinks! Only street parking they have no private lot.
Only go if you aren't in a rush.
We went here for a late lunch with 4 people. We were seated promptly but pretty much forgotten right away. Our waiter would disappear between dropping by to forget what we asked for. It took us a solid hour from sit down to food on the table. The food was delicious though and the atmosphere and decor are great. They have a nice outdoor seating area and good beer menu (although I'm not sure it warrants having Brew in the restaurant name). Definitely an option if you want to sit outside and enjoy the day, but be prepared for some slow service.
This place is just okay. The only reason I am not going to give them two stars is because my boyfriend said his burger was okay and the last time I went there, there food was better.
1st visit: I went here for a comedy show and got the mahi mahi wrap. This was actually pretty good. If I came back I would order this again for sure.
2nd visit:
BBQ wings: Very good sauce. Best thing we ordered and would definitely order again.
3 Alarm Wings : Pretty standard hot wings, pretty good.
Chili Cheese Burger: Very bland. I did not enjoy this at all and couldn't even finish it.
Smokehouse onion burger: Burger was pretty average. Not bad.
I would say for an average place with average food and average beer, its not a bad spot in silver spring.
Service: When we walked in there was no place indicated where we should stand or a hostess there. It was sort of a clump of people awkwardly wondering where we should be and crowding the doorways. They have nice outdoor seating which we enjoyed and our waitress was nice.
I might come here again if my friends wanted to go (because it was crowded at nearby restaurants or something), but probably not otherwise.
The decor/theme are cool. The food is somewhat hit or miss but most things are pretty good. Overall it has potential.
Unfortunately the service is absolutely awful. Getting seated, putting in your order, bringing your food, getting your check - each step takes twice the time it should. It seems perpetually understaffed. The staff that are there don't seem to care much about the customers. We live nearby and we would be there a lot more often if not for the unbearably slow service. If that improved it would be 3 to 4 stars.
Our family wanted this place to be great, we could have settled for good and still been happy... we have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, so a FIre Truck themed restaurant seems to be a no brainer for families with little kids.
The fire truck theme seems to end when you leave the hostess stand and then its just a nice big room with televisions behind a bar. Amazingly slow service for a half filled restaurant with more servers, bar staff and managers than customers. Food was terrible.
Bar seemed cool. Great place to get a beer and watch a game, but avoid the food.
I like this place. The servers we have had, most recently a nice fellow named Zach, have been intelligent and attentive. The tables are clean, and the drinks and food come out quickly. There's a very decent selection of national and local beers on tap, and more in the bottle. Â We usually get Blue Moon on draft, or sometimes the Fat Tire. They are both great on tap.
I must admit that I miss the old "Monday Night half-priced burgers," but they are still so good that I order them anyway.
I have to agree that the wings here are a real strength. You can get them in several favors and degrees of hotness, and Zach was happy to split our order of ten into two types. Not a wings fan? Try a bowl of 3-alarm chili to keep it interesting.
Tonight I had the chicken Marsala, which came out in a just-right portion, with a heaping supply of green beans  almondine, cooked just to the point of crunchy. Yum. I actually passed on the mashed potatoes, but regretted that decision. They came out alongside my wife's blackened tilapia, and were garlicky and delicious.
Overall, I think this place is a great value for the money. Give them a try. We come all the time.
If there were zero stars, that would be my rating. Â Very disappointing does not come close. Â The vegetables were not cooked right and doused in Rosemary - a spice that many people don't want. Â They did not get eaten. Â After ordering $24 crab cakes, my husband asked for a roll and when we got the bill they added $2.25 for it. Â $100 later I really was not happy.
Review Source:The wings are really good. Â Plump, tasty and you get a great deal of you order 20 at a time. Â A draw back is the beer selection, not horrible, but not great. Â Also the service is a little spotty. Not exactly the friendliest or fastest. However our bartender did look like Rihanna which was a bonus as I find that as scrumptious as the wings.
Review Source:Wow... I heard about this place and thought it could not be as big of a flop as people said it. Â So the place seems to be a re provisioned firehouse with a fire truck in front of. it. Â Not a bad theme .. Inside the furnishings are nice and the chairs are comfortable.
Unfortunately, I picture the owners / leadership being a bunch of guys that know nothing about running a restaurant getting drunk one night and coming up with a business plan. Lets dump our life savings into a really cool restaurant.
That is all great but there is a clear failure in the delivery and execution. Â The hostess was not the hostess with the mostest in fact her level of helpfulness could have been replaced with a mannequin.
The first server passed us off to a second server.. No big deal there. Â Our order was taken quickly and shockingly they even came by to see if we wanted a second round of beers.
I noticed a young gent in a suit. Appearing to be one of the proprietors of this place. Â He didn't seem to have his leadership hat on and was struggling to get folks seated.
I think the concept is awesome, the food is decent, the service and timeliness of delivery leaves a lot to be desired Not the place you want to go to in a hurry unless you want to risk being late for your next event.
Why we came back to the place is beyond me. I wasn't aware that the service could get worst. As everyone said, things have changed a bit. I got the burger and another friend got the chicken noodle soup. My burger didn't shock me, but I mean it's a burger. What did strike me as odd is my friend's chicken noodle that seemed to be 85% chicken pieces and not so much soup or noodle. The waitress was only to be found when she took our order and never came back to check up. Since it was a birthday celebration, we were hoping to add another round of drinks onto our bill, but she was nowhere to be seen. Her lost.
Review Source:I really wanted to love this place but two stars is a stretch in some ways. Â The decor and feel of the place is fantastic but the food ranged from bad to average. Â The service was good at first, then really slow and not attentive. Â I got the regular cheeseburger, which was decent, though the bun was a bit greasy. Â We didn't get the right flavor of ice cream for dessert but it was ok so we didn't say anything about it. Â Unfortunately my husband was feeling pretty ill from the meal he ordered (way too greasy) and I doubt will ever eat anything here again. Â Might be a good place to grab a drink and could use a serious overhaul with improved management and food. Â I hope change happens for the good.
Review Source:What a disappointment! Â From the start, when I nearly walked through the glass in the foyer instead of the door, as it looked like the way into the room, to the very slow service on a night when there were only a few people in the place, then not having the first beer that I ordered, and finally a pizza that looked and tasted like it just came out of the frozen food case at the supermarket.
Others in my group had a burger, which looked OK, but the fried looked terrible, as did a side order of onion rings, which looked greasy, although I was told they tasted ok.
Decor is plain, and they could have done a little more to play on the fire house theme besides putti a few small photos on the wall.
I should have gone to the Quarry House as originally planned!
Bathroom was dirty.
The food is mediocre at best, and they're out of half of their beers! It's also overpriced, and considering the dismal quality of the food, my bill looks and feels like a personal insult. $9 for bland, greasy onion rings is inexcusable. Even the French fries were disappointing! How do you mess up french fries? It's also probably a bad sign that my waitress advised me against getting the marguerita pizza because the tomatoes are iffy. I got the Santa Fe pizza and it was edible, but far from good. My friends and I are pretty sure it was frozen at some point. I later spent 15 minutes apologizing to my peeps for not immediately walking out. Lesson. Learned.
There's nothing more I can really say except for, "check, please?"
This is a typical bar and restaurant. Â The menu is standard and the food was good not great. Â Very unexciting. Â The ambiance of the old firehouse is nice especially for kids. Â The booths are very spacious so this would be a good place for an after work watering hole when food is not the focus of the night.
Review Source:I would call myself an FS1 regular. Â When I used to be in the construction industry I would finish up my work at the bar using the free WiFi after leaving job sites. Â I too have noted a decline in the quality of the food and the service. Â So I understand where the 1 and 2 star reviews are coming from, but I think they really are not deserved. Â In fact, my wife and I took my mother-in-law here for her birthday last week and had great service and tasty food. Â I would recommend the Fire Station to anyone and offer this advice to new-comers or those who want to try it again:
1. Â Sit at the bar if possible. Â Most of the spotty service tends to be from the servers on the floor. Â The bartenders are usually on their game and will keep you happy. Â I'm a barfly at most of my regular spots and find this to be a universal truth not just true here.
2. Â Stick to ordering appetizers and sandwiches. Â I've never really liked their pizza and the entrees are hit or miss. Â The wings are meaty and flavorful, and the Cuban sandwich is uber tasty.
3. Â Relax and remember this is not Clyde's or McCormick and Schmicks. Â There will be hiccups and some inconsistencies. Â Don't be afraid to ask your bartender/server questions and specialize your order.
This place is really not as bad as the reviews make it sound. I had absolutely no interest in eating here. In fact, I hate this kind of food. However, I was meeting a bunch of friends and their very young children. My friends picked the place and I read the Yelp reviews on the way there in preparation for a bad experience. However, our server was a very pleasant and sweet young guy who took care of us well and provided service with a smile. Per his recommendation, I ordered the Mahi Mahi wrap which I thought was actually pretty good. The stout beer I ordered (their own brew) tasted like water, unfortunately. Â
The place is alright for what it is. Nothing special, but definitely not as bad as some people have experienced.
As an update, I came here again with my family, as I needed a fun but reliable American style place. Â Frankly, we had a decent meal (the pizzas seem improved).
What bothered me was the disorganization. Â We were a group of seven, and as we waited were approached by several people who were apparently unaware of the other people already working on getting us a table. Â Oddly, we ended up with two tables for six pushed next to each other.
Later, while everyone was getting their food, I was told that mine had been dropped on the floor and that a new one was coming up. Â I actually didn't mind this--they were honest and polite, and you know what, I'm surprised that kind of thing doesn't happen more often. Â But when it came, they said "sorry about that, and don't worry, we'll take care of that for you." Â I took this to mean it would be free; it was in fact full price. Â I'm not sure how else I should have interpreted that comment. Â I have a feeling there was a miscom somewhere in the chain of command about that, but it left me rather peeved.
When this place opened up it was great. Â The service was great, the food was cooked with some love. Â Now a few years later this place is awful when it comes to service and the food. Â Last night we had great service from our waitress, but the food was bad.
The seafood risotto was too salty and the shrimp was not even peeled all the way and not de-veined. The chef should be checking this before it goes out, including the managers. Â I'd like to see if they could turn around before they bite the dust like so many other places here in Silver Spring. Â The chances are that if they keep going in this direction they will close.
So, I went on Yelp to look for a restaurant near me, since I am from out of town. Â I saw this place an read the lackluster reviews. Despite that, I am a world traveler and take most reviews with a grain of salt. I can make my own opinion thanks!
So, my wife and two kids made the trek here to see what was up. We were seated immediately up stairs, and were met by a pleasant server who was quite attentive. There was a large party next to us, but didn't seem to cause an issue with our ordering or ambiance. Â Our food came out as ordered in a reasonable time and was actually really good (though my prepubescent daughter didn't like hers, I chalk it up to hormones).
Overall nice place with good ambiance, nice wait staff. Â Nothing negative to report! Â My wife is actually making me bring her back on our next visit!
What a disappointment. Â This is a really neat space with high ceilings, comfy booths, tables that they can move for live music, and a bunch of flat screen TVs that don't overwhelm the atmosphere.
But the food was disappointing all around our table: hamburgers not cooked to specifications, sides not terribly interesting, and a very standard bar menu. Â I think this neighborhood expects a little more. Â The service could have been better -- especially since we were there at a time when it wasn't busy at all. Â Owner: time to have a chat with manager. Â We will probably go back for drinks, but eat elsewhere in the hood.
Decent casual atmosphere if you're looking for a casual bar and grill. The dining area is clean and spacious, and they owners did a pretty good job recreating the old fire station building into a bar and grill. The overall effect is a pretty generic one, though; if they didn't call the place "Fire Station 1", I don't know that you could tell. The food and drink menus are also pretty generic as well, and the quality of both the food and the service are pretty inconsistent. They've been undergoing a bumpy transition to new management...and it shows.
This would be a ok backup place to go hang out with friends for a beer if your first choice place is packed. If you want something to eat to go with your drinks, the wings aren't bad. Steer clear of the entrees and the specials--on our visit, they were way overpriced and the quality is NOT worth the cost. Â So, decent place to have a drink with friends, but if you're looking for good dinner out...look elsewhere.
I know that firestation has gone under a few management changes, and as someone who has been going there since they opened I can honestly say they are in the best spot they have ever been in. The food has improved significantly (buffalo chicken Caesar wrap is unreal; wings are great) and the staff is way more friendly and attentive. I recommend going back if you are a previous nay-sayer so you can see the changes for yourself. Also, if you hve any feedback talk to a manager, they are very receptive to constructive criticism.
Review Source:This place must be under new management, so BEWARE! I used to be a big fan of this place, but not anymore. Prices have gone up, service has gone way down, as has the quality of food. I think they are trying to make this place into a club to compete with other places nearby.
Where do I start with my experience? Lets see, I walk over the bar, and there are no seats, so I ask a busboy (the kindest and most helpful person the entire night) if we could sit at the new high top lounge area seats. He told us yes, but that we would need to be served, which we were fine with. Â The Happy Hour specials have changed dramatically. Only 3 beers on happy hour...three beers and no mixed drinks. Also, I guess the waiter was not aware that he was getting our table, so he kept stopping by and telling us one minute. When he finally showed up I went ahead and ordered a pizza, bbq chicken. You cant go wrong with bbq chicken pizza, right? Wrong. The pizza was soggy in the middle, to which the server attempted to explain to me that it was grease from the cheese *blank stare*. Once he finally looked at the pizza he realized that it was indeed soggy. He brought back the same exact wet pizza with just a tad more brown on it this time. Ultimately I told him that I was unhappy and will stick to my Blue Moon. The host came by and asked if i was ok, and my friend said that she needed a fork for her food and told him about my pizza. He said "its probably because you didnt get seated by me, and just sat in this area." Really? Is that why? My friend also got up and asked the bartender for silverware, and napkins, to which the bartender told us that we would need to ask our server for those things.
Lastly, the manager came by, explained the pizza fiasco (some new oven, and kitchen worker not knowing which to use, etc.) and offered to get me a new pizza. The new pizza was fine, except for the plastic that was stuck to the bottom of one slice...indicating that they use frozen pizzas.
Our waiter then asked us to give a good word to the manager so that he could possibly be promoted. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. My bill included the pizza that I half-ate, and also did not have the happy hour prices for the beers. The waiter had to go back twice to fix the beer prices, and I ended up paying for the pizza in full.
NEVER AGAIN.
I can't believe I am rating this place down. I really want to love it. I love the concept. I love that they have a Yelp Check in deal for $5-off your bill or a free beer. But that alone doesn't make up for lack luster service.
We have been back twice since our first visit. On the first of these two visits, our order was messed up. We had one special order, but that was foregone. Items we ordered never made it to the table. The table behind us waited 25 minutes for ketchup. On the second visit, the shrimp in the seafood risotto wasn't deveined, which is a HUGE strike. Also, rather than seating us (only 2 of us) upstairs, we were seated on the first floor and another couple was placed basically on top of us. I felt bad for listening to their conversation and judging them most of the meal (but I'm sure they were judging us too).
I really want to love this place, but I have just been so disappointed.
I've been here multiple times. Â I have two complaints that resulted in me refusing to go here ever again.
1) The food is so lavishly bad that one wonders if the owners or managers have ever deigned to taste it. Â Gnaw on rubbery nachos with canned toppings and semi-melted American cheese! Â Dry out your mouth with an over-cooked, non-seasoned chicken breast with NO toppings...all on a stale piece of bread! Â It is so consistent in its violent nastiness that you should flat-out run away.
2) There are four televisions downstairs. Â There are four televisions upstairs. Â I walked into Fire Station and was greeted by four whole patrons. Â I politely asked if the barkeep could change one of the TVs. Â I was rudely told to go upstairs as this was a "Redskins ONLY" floor. Â Again, four TVs, one game. Â I did as I was ordered and asked the pimply mouth-breathing bartender upstairs if he could change one of the TVs so I could watch my game. Â I was told that all four TVs were spoken for...and two carried the Redskins game. Â In summation, eight TVs, six on the Redskins, all in a bar with four whole customers.
So...go to McGinty's. Â Multiple TVs, all the games, great food, and great service.
We ended up here after finding Quarry House to be too packed...
...which turned out to be a rather poor life decision.
It's really too exhausting to list in great detail the reasons that tainted our first (and last) visit to Fire Station 1.
There's just one thing you need to know: DON'T ask your server a lot of questions. (And by a lot...I mean 2.) Otherwise, she will disappear for pretty much the whole night and not bring you napkins/silverware even after your food is delivered to the table, not bring your drinks until at least 10 min after you ordered them or bring the check because you just want to get the heck out of there.
And because these things are things you need, you'll have to ask for them...(more than once). Â Which brings us back to rule #1... don't ask a lot of questions.
It's a vicious cycle, really.
You've been warned.
I really like Fire Station 1. Â It's a renovated fire station, with plenty of seating and several TVs at the bar to watch games.
I have been twice, once on a Sunday night for a quick bite and once on a Thursday for some preseason football. Â The BBQ chicken pizza is delicious--the best BBQ chicken pizza I've ever had. Â I split the crab cake platter when we there for football, and it was also very tasty. Â They have a decent beer selection too.
The bartenders are super friendly and are happy to give recommendations. Â The service was great when we sat at the bar on Sunday night. Â While there on a Thursday night, we had to wait quite a while to get served initially, but I am pretty sure the waitress was new, and after that she was fine.
All in all, a nice neighborhood restaurant, and I'll definitely be back.
To start things on a positive note, I will say that this is a very cool renovation of an old fire station. There is plenty of seating inside and out.
Unfortunately, it fails on most other levels: The bartenders/waitstaff like to play hide and seek. The food runs the gamut from crummy to passable, but is consistent in its starchy blandness. The pizzas are probably the best thing on the menu, but you can get better a block away and the beer selection is pretty standard fare. They close at midnight on Friday and Saturday-two hours before other bars in the area, so they must be doing something wrong.
If you know its strengths, it is possible to have a good time at FS1. I live in walking distance so it's convenient for me. Because it's so big, it is usually easy to get a table for a group and it's a decent spot to share a pitcher or two of beer.
Loved the history of the place and the decor was super cool, especially for our fire truck obsessed son. But the positives end there. The service was very bad - took literally 20 mins to get water and beer, and another 20 to get some food. Kids pizza and chicken tenders were decent. Portabella sandwich and turkey mushroom/Swiss burger were not.
Has potential but clearly major problems based on our experience and other reviews I see here.
Reminds me in some ways of Gordon Biersch. The food is so expensive that I would not go here to have a full meal, but it's a place to have something to drink and an appetizer.
Unlike Gordon Biersch, their beer sampler lets you choose a number of beers from their list -- and the last time I was there they had added a hard cider to their list, a big plus. I didn't get the sampler, I just got the hard cider. I loved it -- I'm not really a big fan of beer, though at GB I have found some I liked, but the sweeter, fruitier taste of the cider was so much more to my liking that I ended up having two glasses before the night was over. And for me, not a major alcohol drinker, that's a lot!
While GB brews their own, the Fire Station (so called because it's in a building that was in fact the local fire station until a couple of years ago!) sells beers (and the cider) that are brewed by various local companies. My wife is a big fan of Guinness, and the Stoney's Stout, brewed in Maryland, was something she liked enough to compare it to Guinness.
I gave Gordon Biersch 5 stars. (See my review dated 3/24/2010.) I don't like this place as much -- the atmosphere is not as good, and GB brews their own, which is probably a plus for them -- but this place is not really a LOT lower. That the beer sampler gives you some choice is perhaps a choice for this place. I mostly consider the two places as comparable, and the 4 stars vs. 5 really reflects the fact that I have some difficulty assigning a star rating to either one.
I came back and tried this place again for drinks.... The place was empty and the service still sucked. Â When you have two tables in the whole place with people and a few servers walking around you don't need the bartender checking on the tables. Â That should be the job of the servers. Â
The only thing Fire Station One is good at is being bad.
Also a good idea would be to change the name of the restaurant to Fire Station One Poor Excuse for a Restaurant
"Where's the Fire?"
I've eaten at Fire Station One a few times and I don't know how to describe this place other than to describe it as "average."
Crab cakes. Â It's not the worst crab cakes I've ever had, but it wasn't the best by a long-shot either. Â Restaurants always have a tough time with cost vs. taste when it comes to crab cakes, because lump crab meat is an expensive ingredient and you get better tasting crab cakes with more crab meat in them. Â These particular ones were fairly average.
5-alarm chili, which is supposed to be their hottest chili. Â It was not that hot. Â And the taste was pretty average.
5-alarm buffalo wings. Â Again, not that hot and the taste was as you can guess, average. Â If you're a heat seeker, you'll be disappointed. Â The atomic wings at Wing Stop are pretty hot or the best is to make your own wings using a sauce called "100% Pain." Â Now, that will melt your face off and make you regret it the next day.
So if you're craving average American food at average American prices, then try Fire Station One. Â There isn't anything really wrong with the food per se; it just doesn't seem to stand out in any particular way. Â It won't be the best meal you've ever had, but it won't be the worst either.
The older I get and the more I venture out to find new places to eat and to drink, I realize that appearance can often be deceiving.
Take Fire Station 1. Firstly, I have never been to Silver Spring, Sure, I live just a few miles south in DC, but I guess I was just never motivated enough to come out. So while I had a couple of hours left on the zipcar rental, after dropping off a rent check to my landlord, I decided on lunch in Silver Spring.
And right on the corner stood Fire Station 1. It's bright, clean looking, AND they are a brewery. Sold.
Here's the thing though, I don't really even think they are a brewery for starters. The building is pretty damn cool, being a former fire station, and being redone perfectly. But seriously, don't call yourself a brewery unless you make the damn beer yourself.
They have 5 beers that appear to be house made, as they are names I have never heard or seen elsewhere, but if they want to go the brewpub route, they need to step it up. If the beer is made on site, I would love to know where. There is no indication of any brewing equipment anywhere. And really, if the taste of the beer was any indication, they really do need to change something up.
I am not sure where these beers come from, but I went for a flight so that I could taste them all. Now look, I can play beer snob rather well, but I can get down with a good PBR or bud light any day. Sadly, this place played neither roll.
1) The IPA had minimal, if any hops
2) The stout tasted like water
Of the beers I tried, not one was memorable in a good way.
I was really hoping the food would be more exciting. I went with the crab cake sandwich with their house smoke rings. Fancy names should only ever be used if you master what you are making. If you call onion rings "smoke rings" it indicates you actually tried to make them good. And in reality, you didn't.
The onion rings were some of the most disgusting I have ever tried. Hugely cut, I they looked decent. But the batter was completely flavorless. And to make matters even worse, they were so soggy and drenched in grease that I struggled to get one down.
And then there was the crab cake. I'm not even sure what was going on here. It was made of canned crab, which is fine, but the cake itself also had very minimal flavor and was incredibly unexciting. It was sandwiched between a huge soggy roll that I just moved aside. I would have been able to deal with this if it didn't cost $18. Like seriously? I could have had some real food for that price.
Then there was the wait staff. They were incredibly rude, and generally unconcerned with us. The place was less than half full, yet every request took huge amounts of time. As we hadn't seen our waitress for a while, when another one walked by, I asked her for our bill and she rolled her eyes and responded "umm, you have to ask your server."
Bad beer. Bad food. Bad service. Yet nice building. Sounds like a recipe for a quick foreclosure to me.
