I'm hesitant to write this because I don't really want a bunch of people here!
For those of you who have ever wanted to have an experience like 'Cheers' (Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name) this is THE bar.
The regulars are almost always there, and they are some of the best people you will ever meet.
The crowd is a bit older, but man are they full of life.
The conversations are great and they love to include you.
The weekdays are very mellow and I highly recommend coming on a Tuesday or Friday.
You'll meet the bartender, Rebekah, and she's the my all-time favorite!
Weekends they have bands playing and sometimes it gets a little crowded.
It's a small place.
It's my favorite bar.
I don't want to go anywhere else.
Try it once on a weekday and once on a weekend.
Come make some new friends.
THE GREATEST LITTLE DIVE BAR AROUND.....
If you don't have fun here, your doing something wrong!
The staff is fantastic! Â The owners are cool! Â They throw the trouble out with the trash!
I love coming here with friends during football season, there is no place in town I would rather be!
Cool Dive bar. The bar /seating is a little low.
There's 2 pool tables that don't seem to have any intimidating people playing.
$10 minimum to charge your card. There might be a full bar but it doesn't seem like it. I just had beer.
There was a live band playing and plenty of old-looking locals in the area.
An outdoor patio has plenty of seating and is nice to unwind out back. Just be careful if you sit right in front of the door; people are prone to kicking the shit out of the door to open it.
Sort of makes these old folk feel like they're in an old western movie.
really cool laid back little dive bar . ya the majority people are of the older generation but it has some rockers , country folk , ese' s , ect ect mixed in depending on when you go i am a lomita girl so i can basically have a good time where ever i go so it is all good beers are preety cheap and thy have bands on the weekends . everyone seems to know every one and if they dont know you by the end of the night they will  .( or at least try lol ) . i def reccomend the firehouse to everyone ... :)
Review Source:Shout out to Jennifer, my fave karaoke host! Â She can rap, sing, and make you feel like you're singing isn't unleashing too much ugliness into the world.
The bar itself is divey: beer and wine only (and a kickass happy hour). Â What they use to make mixed drinks aren't hard liquor so they taste odd. Â Old people that try to get "friendly" with you, but usually harmless. Â Large smoking patio. Â Lotsa parking all around. Â A newfangled digital jukebox. Â Good stuff but I'm partial to dives.
Unfriendly people. At least this night was like that. I came, I saw, I left. Read this blog for a detailed description lol. pretty funny.

Cool-ish, retro dive bar in Lomita, gonna probably frequent this place more soon since I am returning to the South Bay. They only have beer/wine and Soju-type vodka. Â They have taps and bottles (yay!) and the prices are low. During the day or later afternoon, it's a mostly older, male crowd and everyone seems to know everyone. Â Weekend nights, especially with music, seem to pull in the younger crowd. Had to keep the outside door to the women's restroom open in order to find the light switch on the inner door, otherwise it seems just like a closet, LOL. Definitely 60s/Slate/Brady Bunch architecture on the outside, but they are making the most of it on the inside with the pool tables, draft beers, makeshift stage on the weekends, and tiny outside patio out back. Nice that this is a viable option in Lomita. Friendly bartenders.
Review Source:Great little local Dive-bar, two pull tables and a smoking patio. Â Everyone knows everyone there they don't call it the 'Mouth-bay' for nothing. Â Full bar and cheap drinks, they also have a list of Micro-micro brews that are a little pricey but rare, just ask to see it they don't advertisie it. Â They have a good juke box and usually have DJ's and bands there. Â I was a regular and spent many a night there.
Review Source:ventured into the "House of Fire" yes it is a dive bar, yes the drinks are priced right , yes low budget, did i say dive bar? lol it was pretty cool sampled a couple of 5 beers and it was Bourbon after that, everything got a little blurry she said OK and i don't know who she was but i think she was nice just pulling your ankle. not a great place to pick up but the drinks are wet and the service is pretty quick (tips) and the bartender wasn't bad looking .. check it out i think i make this one mine unless i can find one within walking distance
Review Source:i booked a rock show here on a Saturday night last summer and it turned out to be really fun. the bartender was awesome and gave the band some free drinks. she poured the bday boy shots all night and got him nice and happy. if i lived close i wouldn't mind going there and having a drink or two while watching some sports.
Review Source:Is there anything at the corporate-sanitized Crossroads that even qualifies as a bar? With so much traffic on Crenshaw, some people never drive down Narbonne to see what the little village of Lomita has to offer. One of its best places is the Firehouse, a great little neighborhood dive bar to go and have a beer. Prices are very good. I've been here during happy hour. The food wasn't much to speak of. Good quarter-fed bar-short pool tables.
If you like beer and like to socialize and live within walking distance, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Friendly folks and bartenders...just like Lomita!
Great little beer bar in Lomita. Nice variety of domestics and imports on tap and in bottles. Great bartenders and friendly local patrons. New owner has kept up the tradition of affordable prices. They do have a low proof vodka and tequila but I haven't tried it. "High Rollers" menu features some outstanding beers and drinks.
Review Source:Firehouse is a small but clean dive bar in "downtown" Lomita near the "business" district. Â It's nothing special, but they have 2 decent pool tables and according to my friends, one of them is usually open. Â We played $.50 games for a few hours and pints of Newcastle were $2.75. Â Not bad. Â My friends say they will usually have snacks during happy hour, but for some reason, not that day. Â
My biggest complaint was the music. Â I absolutely hate it when someone w/ REALLY crappy taste puts a whole shitload of money in the juke box. Â I can handle an occasional country pop, girly techno, or generic rap-metal song. Â But NOT for 2 fucking hours!! Â
I'm guessing it's payback for the Fantastic Cafe incident. Â Proof that God is listening.
