Unfortunately, this is the bar that is closest to my house that provides a somewhat decent atmosphere. While the food is anywhere from "ok" to "good", the wait staff really annoys me. Like a lot of the other comments here, all they do if flirt with each other. All. The. Time. - and all on public display at the bar. The "manager" is the worst of them all.  I don't want to see what during my dinner! Plus the prices are WWAAAYY too expensive.

We used to love Fox's and go there most Fridays.  The bar has gone downhill a lot over the last year though.  Tonic is always flat, limes are old, and you have to wait for Deb to finish blatantly flirting with all her customers to get served.

Not for the traditional Fox's Pizza lover!! I grew up knowing the Fox's Pizza from the Southside. This is NOT that pizza. It's not bad...... but when you're expecting Fox's anything inferior won't do. I guess I'm gonna have a bit of a drive the next time I have a taste for a Fox's Pizza.

Disclaimer:  I am from the South Side of Chicago and have been eating @ Fox's for over 20 years. (now on to the review)

My Wife, kids, and I just moved to Plainfield and were on the hunt for some good pizza only to find that Fox's was less than a mile away.  We made sure to ask if they were affiliated with the Fox's in Beverly and Orland and they said yes so we were VERY excited to eat there.  They have 50% all pizza's on Wed so that won us over.  We went on Wed for the first time.

Great atmosphere.  Fireplace outside (though too cold to eat outside right now) with tables.  The menu was VERY large and had a lot of choices.  Ordered the homemade potato chips and they were VERY good.  The dip tasted homemade too which was a plus.  We ordered what we always order:  Family size, sausage and  mushroom, well done.  Pizza came out fast, which was a little suspect because normally it should have taken about 35-40 minutes, but was there in about 20.  The crust was not very crispy, especially on the middle slices.  Ingrediants tasted similar to the other Fox's but the crust was the biggest disappointment.  If you have had any of the other Fox's you will understand where i'm coming from.

All in all, it wasn't bad.  I think that if the name of the resturaunt WASN'T "Fox's", then I wouldn't have been so hard on them.  But for a total bill of $19.00, I'm not that mad at it.

We frequent Foxes about once a week. pizzas are good, meatballs and Italian sausage are good as well the ruben rolls are great! They always have an interesting soup of they day that has not disappointed me yet!  We enjoy sitting at the bar especially when Deb is tending bar.

Food was average at best. Went for my birthday because I received a coupon in the mail that said 1% off for each year in your age. Bring you family and friends and celebrate with us. So my wife and I went we didn't go crazy just a couple of steak salads in which the steak was really tough. A couple of drinks and we were done. I get the bill and it didn't look right. The waiter says the coupon is not off the whole bill just on your entree. I point out that nowhere on the coupon does it state that. I said let me talk to the manager please. Some young guy comes to the table and says I am the manager what can I do. He smelled like he was just outside smoking weed. He says yea it doesn't say on the coupon but that's how it is. The company that printed them up made a mistake. Needless to say we paid our bill and left never to return. I'm so glad I did not bring family and friends to celebrate. Who sends a manager to your table that smells like weed. This place is totally unprofessional.

My husband and I went to Fox's on Saturday.  It was very busy and had a bit of a wait.  The time we waited wasn't long and the hostess was very nice.
Our server Gabrielle suggested we try the chef's special Harry Burger.  It was fantastic!!!!  The service was on the ball and will return to try the pizza.  (Which is why we went in the 1st place).  LOL!  And you can't beat a $5 martini!!!
Great friendly staff and we saw the manager cleaning tables too!!!  Keep up the good work.  This just might become our Saturday hang out!  :)

I have been here twice, and have to say I don't think I will go back. They do not have their timing down very well. If you don't want your appetizers to come out with your soups/salads, followed by 5 minutes later your meal, hold off on ordering. They do not space it out for you. Both times I had chicken sandwiches. The first was the buffalo chicken sandwich. All they did was drown the breaded chicken breast in hot sauce. The chicken was not even fully cooked.  This second time I had the California chicken sandwich, and asked for no bacon. Guess what, it came with bacon, and once again undercooked chicken. The side salad was WAY overdressed, so if you don't like your lettuce floating in dressing ask for it on the side. My boyfriend got the Shepard's pie, and it was average at best. The ground meat wasn't even broken up in the dish and way under seasoned. For an Irish restaurant, this was very disappointing. I've heard many people say that the only good thing they make is pizza. I'm really starting to believe this. Finally, the prices and way overpriced for the quality of food they serve.

One star for food and prices, the food is tasteless and prices ore on the high side.
Their is a couple of older wait staff that are great, but everyone else is to young to be running a place like this. Sit at your table and watch all the employes eating and drinking while you waite for your food is not good then when your order comes its not cooked right , and taste like crap. the manager is a 23 year old little girl who cant run this place go else ware to eat

I came here Xmas Eve with a party of 4 and the food was good the service not so much.  We ordered a couple apps and then 10 minutes later put our entree orders in that all came with soup or salad.  We got our soups and salads and was informed our apps. are coming out as well.  Really???  Ever hear of spacing?  When I told our waitress to hold off on the apps she began to argue with me.  I guess she never heard the customer is always right.  Good thing she gave the table to another waitress, she was on top of things and the only reason I went with 2 stars instead of one.  Another thing that bothered me being in the business for 19 years is that all the employees hanging out at the bar with food, drinks, purses, etc.  Even the hostess was at the bar and each party walking in waited as she made her way to the front of the house.  Bad management if you ask me.

I recently traveled to the middle-of-nowhere for a friends birthday and was greeted with a nice list of $5 martinis that are not made with bottom shelf liquor.  I was pleasantly surprised.

The food was good and the menu offers quiet the selection.  After our long boring ride to the middle-of-nowhere we were famished.  We went with the Guido Pizza, a thin crust pizza with ricotta, mozzarella, meatballs and salami.  Total Italian person heaven.  The pizza was fantastic.  Not going to lie there.

The service was ehhh... The place was not busy and I had to ask for lemons for my water 3x's. I just couldnt comprehend why the waitress was not bringing them. Lemon shortage?

Anywho. I have frequented other locations (Orland Park and Oak Lawn) and never experienced service quite like what was experienced in this location.

Side Note:  If I drank guinness and celebrated St. Patrick's day Fox's would be a nice place to celebrate it.

My wife and I have been going here for the past year... and the service is declining weekly. The wait staff wants to congregate at the bar and tell giggle stories. No wonder the owners are losing money.

Went here on Sunday and was not impressed.

Our waiter was very attentive, and unlike some of the other reviews we didn't have long of a wait.
Ordered soup and "Irish Nachos" to begin with...the soup was hot, but bland.

The "Nachos" were good...a huge plate of waffle cut fries with cheese, sour cream, and very fresh pico de gallo.

I got the Corned beef and cabbage since it is a "only on Sunday" special.
It was very chewy with a large amount of fat in the center of the slices. The potato's and cabbage were good, but the carrots were very salty. There was a lot of water on the plate which was spilled on the table when it was brought out.

We also ordered the Shepard's Pie, which was in a thick, bland, translucent, sort-of brown gravy. In addition, there seemed to be very little meat in the dish...at least for our tastes.

When we went to order desert we were told that at least half of the items on the menu had been "discontinued" and we were told what they actually did have.

I thought the huge slice of Blueberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie was very good, but my GF found it rather bland.

What I ordered was supposed to be a scone with masticated berries. What I got was fresh sliced Strawberries and whole Blueberries on a scone with a generous amount of whipped cream.
It was beautiful and tasty, but not exactly what I thought I was going to get.

The food is not inexpensive, so I don't think I'll be going back to give them another chance, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

$3.50 for a pint of miller lite draft beer.  Outrageous!!  Honestly, how much do they pay for a keg?  It is cheaper to get a pitcher of beer.  I have eaten there 3 times and the food was not good.  Chicken wings were red/cold in the middle.  I sent them back and they still were not good second time.  Thin crust pizza - VERY THIN!  A growing family of four will definitely need more than one pizza.  The atmosphere is great but it just is not worth the price.

I'm not sure they are even worthy of 1 star. We went in on a Friday afternoon around 3 p.m. which is surely not a busy time. We were seated right away in the main dining room. It was just us and a small table of 3 who were just getting ready to leave. The waiter looked our way but then walked away. Then after about 5 minutes a waitress came out and was sweeping the floor then she too disappeared. Not one of the two asked had we been helped. We sat there hungry and thirsty (they never even brought water to the table) for about 15 more minutes. At this point I was in disbelief and angry. We finally got up and walked out. I have never done that before in my life. I'm pretty sure they cared less that we did. The pizza is good here but way to expensive of a price to pay when it comes along with POOR service. It's no wonder the one in Batavia went out of business. These people need to do something fast about poor management or all the locations will be out of business.

I did carryout, which is nice with the seperate parking and side entrance on a collllllld day. The corned beef sandwich was sooo tender, bread a little bland (marble rye) and the side salad tastey

Who can say no to $5 martinis?  The poached pear martini was so good, and I'm not usually one to go to apple/pear flavors.  Mixed drinks are decently priced and well made.

The food was just OK but pricey.  I wouldn't choose this as a dinner spot again.

This place is somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but very classy looking inside.  Not at all a dive.  Another Irish bar that could be lively on St. Patrick's day.  But for a Saturday night, it was pretty dead.

We love Fox's pizza and were not disappointed when we visited this location for the first time yesterday.  The pizza could have been a teensy bit more crispy, but was still excellent.  Good service as well... though there weren't many in the place we had to compete with.  We'll be back!

The pizza was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. The bar is unique as well. If you are a thin crust pizza fan, like I am, I would definitely put it in the tops in the area. Would like to see a wider variety of beer selections, but I will go back no doubt.

We were looking forward to having a new restaurant to go but were extremely disappointed with Fox's.  While the wait staff was adequate, the food was not.  Since it was fairly new, they were handing out samples of their cheese pizza which my hubby called limp and uninteresting.  We will not be going back.

Went there the other night with about 8 girlfriends.  The place is nice with a water fall wall and cool bar.  They sat us where the air conditioning unit was dripping, so not good there.

The food was good.  I had shepard's pie which was really good.  The others got other items that looked good.  Portions are good size.

I've been here 4 times and did not have a single good experience. Service was poor at each visit. One evening a group of 8 women and I went here for drinks, and our server never came back to our table after the 1st round - this was over a 2 hour span! We asked to speak to the manager, and while telling him about our poor service a friend of his walked into the bar. He actually said "Excuse me, I'm going to go say Hi to my buddy" and walked away from us mid-complaint, never to return again. Based on this interaction alone, I will avoid going back!

Great experience. Great food. Great wait staff. My husband has been going to other locations for years and was excited to try this new one. We loved it and will be going back.

Ordered their thin crust pizza - actually 2 pizzas.  It was good, A-OK as the Three Star Rating Indicates.  Loaded Pizza Skins were good.

The pizza has nice thin crust, a good amount of cheese and topings.  The sauce is good, but it doesn't have much character.....kind of neutral; not sweet, not spicy, but A-ok.

I'd say if you live in the area, give this place a try.  It's a nice, new location.....the staff seems nice and friendly, the service has been very good.  Pizza is much better than average - it would be a nice place to take the family out for dinner.

I came here for lunch on a Saturday. For appetizers, we got the Irish Nachos and the fried sampler (mozzarella sticks, mushrooms, zucchini, and onion rings). When we got our appetizer plates, I lifted the first two plates off and noticed some pizza sauce left on the third plate. Upon lifting this plate, we noticed there was a partial pizza slice stuck to the bottom. Yuck! The Irish Nachos were waffle fries covered with a bunch of toppings (cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo). They were pretty good but you can't really mess that up. The fried sampler was fried too much where you had to apply more pressure than necessary to stab with a fork. I got the Prime Rib sandwich which was $11.99. It comes with one side. I was pretty underwhelmed when it came out. As previous poster said, it was pretty much an Arby's roast beef sandwich with a toasted bun. They didn't even bring au jus with it, and I had to ask for it later.
