easy to make reservations (Friday night). nice ambience with live music that's not too loud. great staff. bad drinks. great appetizers. above average food. we went with a large group, so the price was rather cheap (for downtown). I'd definitely go again

I absolutely love this place. The food was so delicious, they had a great wine bar, live piano music, great service, just all around great. I got the veal medallions and they were so good. The best part is this restaurant is in a very up-scale part of town (Michigan Ave) and it really was not that expensive for what you get. Very affordable for delicious food and a great atmosphere.

The atmosphere here is vibrant - they had live jazz playing which gave a nice vibe to our dinner, but the food just did not measure up.  We waited a pretty long time for our entrees: ravioli and roasted chicken and in the end it was bleh.  I don't know - maybe we just ordered the wrong thing, but I expected better considering I happen to have liked all my experiences at other Francesca's.
