Eggy's Diner

Ate breakfast here twice while in town on business. It's conveniently located to the Swissotel, even if I you do need to walk outside a little bit to get there. (C'mon, you won't melt.)

The Eggy's Benedict was nice with the pulled pork on a waffle. Could have been a bit larger though. One small waffle cut in half doesn't really cut it. Give me two litte full waffles and this would be perfect.

Also had the biscuits and gravy, and they were very good. The gravy is top notch and the biscuits perfectly fluffy. I'd eat that again for sure.

I had a review drafted up from shortly after Eggy opened last year that was not too favorable.

Mainly, I was unhappy with their hours, prices, and the fact that this one waitress wouldn't stop touching my toddler and that really bothered.

BUT, that waitress is gone, the hours are more or less better, and they have added new items to the menu that aren't as expensive, as I decided to redraft it.

There is one thing I have to mention though, and that is the buffalo chicken sandwich.

This is the best buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever had. I eat a great deal of buffalo chicken sandwiches. The buffalo sauce, chicken, and bleu cheese here are perfect.

Eat this sandwich.

No one is mentioning Eggy's dinner here, but the dinner specials are really good.  We've had the Short Rib, the meatloaf, grilled chicken, strip steak , and and few others and they are always great.  DInners come with a salad and rolls (the yeast rolls are fresh and fantastic) and then you get to choose two sides - the sauteed kale is great and the cheese grits are outstanding.   We go occasionally for breakfast too but dinner is our main meal at Eggy's.
