While in Chicago I got time off for good behavior. My son treated me to a Spa Day. BEST.MASSAGE.EVER. Ask for Kim.

Spa itself was wonderful - low lighting, sauna, fruit and drinks, top shelf bath products, comfortable robes and flip flops. It was just like being Queeen for the Day (not that I'm old enough to remember that show, but my Mom watched it!)  And that's what my son made me on this day. Life is good.

mySpa at the Fairmont hotel is perfect for me. This is because it feels like a true spa retreat (not just the back room of a salon where you have to walk past other services - hate that), but the prices weren't exhorbitant like the Trump or other high end spas in town. My only complaint is the locker room being very exposed and having a limited selection of magazines (not a big deal). My massage therapist Andrea was awesome. And I have to say how impressed I was with their teas in the waiting room - concentrate w/ a dropper. Thankfully they were for sale! The massage treatment room itself was nice, and calming. They offered me a locals-only frequent user package, which I am definitely considering because I will be going back there. It's just the right balance of pampering and price point.

Save your money.

I went here with a friend to have a relaxing girls day. The spa is in the Fairmont hotel. They have a steam room and a nice locker room with pretty turquoise tile... but at the end of the day we are there for the Massage talent, right ladies? BOTH of our masseuses were pretty below average. I think mine was named Micheal. They just do the arms, back, lets. you can tell they can not feel the knots or focus points because they do not spend time on them.

Its more like a basic massage. To me a good Masseuse is one that can work out the knots without you telling them where they are. So far, I've only found one guy to do that at Mario Tricooci - Long.
