I was really surprised that it was almost empty on a Saturday night. Then, I ordered a drink and I understood why. For $9, I would expect my cosmopolitan to actually have liquor in it (call me crazy, I know). The recipe calls for a splash of cranberry juice. I have had cosmos at many various establishments in my life and I've never seen one that dark shade of pink, almost red. There was hardly any liquor in it. I should have known better when the other group there was sending their drinks back to be remade right as we were sitting down. When I told the server that the drink tasted like just cranberry juice, he said the bartender just "follows the recipe." Uhm, your own drink menu says "splash of cranberry," so I would say not. He asked if we wanted the bartender to remake them and we said sure. The second version was basically the same. It was so sickly sweet that I just drank the one and didn't even bother to go back and drink the first one. For the overpriced subpar drinks, I won't bother to return.
Review Source:If you like dive bars this is not for you.....
If you like beers, keep looking as they only have 2 on tap and they are nothing special.
If you like cheap drinks, run.
BUT if you like INFUSIONS and martinis it's a good option! Â They typically have a pineapple stoli infusion, a orange/strawbeery infusion, a peach raspbeery infusion and a pineapple mango infusion. Â All good on their own, if you like a strong cocktail....or they can mix them into a martini. Â They have a martini list that is about 25 martinis long. Â Just beware they are sweet and go down easily....but are pretty pricy.
It is dimly lit and they were playing a mix of house and jazzy tunes....a good mix. Â I understand that often times they have a DJ in the evenings.
Granite bar top...good selection of vodka, some scotch, whisky and other libations.
They have a menu, but did not see too many people eating.
They also have an area with couches, hence he use of Lounge in their name.
Upstairs you can smoke cigars....
They also have hightop tables if you do not want to lounge or belly up to the bar.
The place was visusally appealing. Nice sitting area with couches and benches. Couches were too sunk in and had gum or burn marks. Front window off of main street had hand prints and was dirty. Bathroom out of toliet seat cleaner. Â The martini menu did not have prices listed. We ask, and the server said $7 a peice. Â So we had 6 martini's, come to find out they were all $9.43 a peice. Â Server didn't do anything for us beause of the descrepancy. Â . Â By 9:30 every seat was full and people could only stand. Â By 9:45 a DJ was setting up, but we were just leaving. Sounded like low key house music. Very nice.
Review Source:I went here once on a Saturday night if I recall correctly, and I was blown away by the fact these lounges or bars actually existed in Rochester without my knowledge.
Anyway, while I'm pretty new to drinks and so won't rate those, they did have a selection that was average sized, a small humidor cabinet for cigars with very minimal selection, though all were highly expensive.
The upstairs lounge had a more private area but it was packed pretty quickly, though I liked the place and the high energy music in the background.
I'd go again, and plan to, but there are plenty of places to try.
Best thing is it stayed open past 12.
SUPER Slow service, drinks are good but you'll have to wait an hour for one. Wednesday night seemed like a good time to go since they advertise half off Martini's. Half off FOR WOMEN ONLY!!! Seriously?!?!?
It's the 21st century... Who the hell has ladies night's anymore???
Get with the times Fuse... Or you'll be going out of business like all the rest of the awful bars that were previously at your location. MY REVIEW AND TIP is that- There are much better bars in the area... I'll waist my time somewhere else.
Lame. Poor service. Â They had a DJ who was doing a good job, which saved them from a 1 star... I got a vibe from the place that it was trying to be something but just not getting there. Â The bathrooms were kinda messy, service was pretty slow... Our first waitress was for sure on some sort of drugs... At first we thought she was just high but after messing up an order for a diet coke and forgetting to ask about specials 3 times in like 5 minutes, we decided she was doing heroin or meth... Â Thankfully we got a new waitress who said the other girl 'had too many tables'... whatever, at least our drinks came faster and correctly. Â
Well, not much good things to say about this place for me... I am sure it was probably just a bad night for the staff, but for me, I was not impressed.
I was here yesterday for a going away party, and I'm not big on martini lounges but I had fun. Â I ordered a tiramisu martini and my boyfriend chose the after dinner mint martini...both were delicious but we paid $10 a martini! Â My boyfriend and I also thought we had to be dressed up. Â On our invitation my friend made it seem like we had to dress to impress! Â Let me make it clear that you can wear jeans! The staff is polite and it wasn't hard to flag a waitress down if you wanted a drink. I was surprised with the prompt service since there was a bachelorette party next to us! Â
I must be getting old because I'm over the whole loud club type of atmosphere.  I definitely prefer a sports pub now!  But if it was eight years ago I would have loved this place!  There was one flat screen behind the bar so my boyfriend and I were at least able to finish watching the wings game!  I did like the comfy lounge atmosphere of Fuse there were lots of  couches and an upstairs cigar room too, but it is overpriced! Â
For two drinks a piece and one lousy appetizer our bill was $45.58!  We ordered  a chicken quesadilla and the chicken was dry!  If your going to charge $10 for a 4-piece chicken quesadilla then at least don't dry it out!  Fuse might be nice place to have a martini but you can enjoy more for less  just a couple doors down at Main Street Billiard!
I am not really informed about Rochester nightlife. Â I was pretty pessimistic about Fuse. Â There was some sort of Euro club music playing in the background, lots of cologne and painted faces. Â But the crowd was actually pretty friendly, and there were amazing drink promotions (free Belvedere drinks this night!). Â I would recommend the upstairs, where I was for a little birthday party. Â It is more private and cozy with couches, etc. Â Also, there is a cigar menu and a cigar lounge area. Â If I lived in this area, I would return, even though I think the bouncer wanted to kill me.
