Willikers is my favorite bar in the boro's. Their unique drinks like the fruity-loopy margarita and carona-rita are hands down the best around. Karaoke nights are always fun and it's close to home! They also have multiple pool tables.
The best hands down is the outside bar and patio. In the summer they have bands perform outside. Â This place is excellent for after work drinks.
In a word, gross.
just downright awful. Waitstaff is inexperienced. the extra star is for the halfway decent Margarita that was so strong ... I mean I'm not complaining about a strong drink.. I would never do that, but I think the reason they make the drinks so heavy handed, is so your pallet gets numbed to the HORRIBLE food. This place seriously does look like it you are going to see a condemned sign soon.
We ate burgers because the place was so musty and dingy we were afraid to eat anything else Two bites and I was done. I love to talk about food  but this experience left me so repulsed, I'll just skip it..
The menu right off the bat was sooo sticky I had to peel it apart carefully.... DISGUSTING... we should have ran. Â The place is decorated with tacky ass shit from the side of the road in Texas or Utah. That's not the worst thing about the way this place is decorated.. the booths seats are "upholstered" with these old I MEAN OLLLDDD Western cowboy style blankets that you'd stick under a horses saddle. That probably hasn't even been washed ONCE since they were put in 1944 or... whatever.. actually get this..
In the eon that passed between waiting for our drinks and food I had a moment to read the story behind this godforsaken place, on the back of the menu. Apparently this route 20 watering hole was literally just that in the 1930s and was basically an early day  truck stop that opened selling nothing but ice cream. This couple opened the place and eventually sold it in the 1950s ..to another weirdo couple. Well the wife of this pair, had an affair and drove the husband to kill himself behind the place.......
I thought of doing the same thing as soon as we left...
Please for god sake... do not even try it.
We have passed by this place a million times and never stopped in. We were looking for someplace new to try the other night and decided to give them a shot. We walked in, looked around, and walked back out. There was a strange smell in the air and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The bar had about 20 people, but the restaurant was empty. My daughter got very upset that we were leaving so we decided to give it a shot and stay anyway even though it seemed like a bad decision.
We are glad we stayed. The waitress was very nice. She was the bartender and also hostess and waitress. She was the only one on. She made sure she did not neglect us though even though we were not at the bar.
The menu is tex mex and bbq. The food is decent. It is definitely not somewhere that you would go for a great meal, but the food was better than I expected. I got the baby back ribs and they were tender and juicy with a lot of meat on the bones. The sauce was slathered on a bit heavy for my liking, but it tasted good (not too sweet). I had baked beans and mashed potatoes with gravy for my sides. The beans were out of a can and the potatoes were not that great, but both were edible enough that it did not bother me. My wife got a burger which she enjoyed. My son got fish and chips. The fish was large and looked like it was perfectly cooked. If I go back again I will probably get that. My daughter had chicken tacos. They were not skimpy and she really enjoyed them.
The place is not the cleanest, but it did not feel dirty either. I think during the nice weather if you can eat outside it would be a decent place if you want this type of food. It seems like a fun place to go for a beer and to watch the game too. It is not the type of place you would take someone to impress them though. It is definitely a dive bar sort of place.
Great neighborhood place to have a drink or five at. Â Prices are very reasonable and drinks are strong. Â They do have food, though the dining room goes largely unused and I have never eaten here. Â
What I like, is there is always an interesting mix of people...bikers, truckers, professionals, college kids, never know what you're going to get. Â Pool tables and an outside patio in summer are massive pluses to me
