Fun Irish pub
This irish pub has the right feel to it. There's plenty of seating inside as well as outside on the patio. A gf and I came here for dinner and we were seating right away. Our server was very patient with us, we took forever to order since we were busy catching up. I had the marinated chicken salad which was so good with the raspberry viniagrette dressing, topped with crispy wontons which was perfect. My friend had some sort of wrap and she enjoyed it very much.
Galway arms is a respite from big city living. Upon walking through the door of this quaint and original Irish pub, any perturbations from a long day are soon forgotten. After a few cool Guinness by the fireplace its easy to forget that outside a harsh Chicago winter awaits. The owner, and much of the staff, add the the atmosphere as they are from the home of Guinness- Dublin. Barry pours a near perfect pint and does a fine job of never letting me see the bottom of my glass. Drink up Chicago.
Review Source:Stumbled into this bar on a cold walk back from dinner a few nights ago. We got a table right away which was nice. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The drinks were cheap ($5 on Friday nights for hot cocktails).
To me it's a good everyday bar or if you're looking to have a fun night without going somewhere lounge-y or dance-y. I will definitely frequent this place again!
