Galway's Pub

I agree 100% with David P's review of this place, and can't add much.  But this is just a neighborhood corner, divey bar.  Friendly people, cheap drinks.  Added star for the unexpected fun-ness factor.  If you're in the Upper Darby/Yeadon/Lansdowne area and want a drink or three & a laugh, stop by.

Lets just say that if you're not a regular here or a place like Galway's Pub isn't your typical scene, then be prepared to be amused. Galway's is a pub that's worth coming to from time to time to relax and enjoy the times. Everyone needs to experience a place like this once in a while in your life!!

You can't miss Galway's. There's a huge lit-up billboard on the side of the building. It's on Long Lane.

Lets see... there's plenty of TV's for the game of the night. The Flyers were on when we went. There's people throwing wet towels at mice running around the pub. There's no food served, but the bartender will order pizza for all the customers, on the house, to share.

You can smoke in the pub. It's mostly a sausagefest. There's some older ladies, if any. They've got plenty of locals and regulars, the normal drunks and those who like to drink chocolate milk out of a bar glass. You've got guys falling asleep at the bar... emphasis on the plural nature.

Tuesday night is darts night and apparently a good crowd comes out. They have an English dart board with some really solid and bright lights for the board. Steel tip darts.

All bottles are $3. There's some liquor. idk if the beer was old or from the back of the cooler, but it just tasted nasty (even Ying!)

Old school arcade games with broken buttons. Plenty of bar seating. Guys celebrating their birthday here by playing the birthday song through the juke box.

So yeah - Galway's is a one of a kind Irish pub with some unique characters, regulars and strangers that come here to drink in/take out and have a good time. See ya again.
